Re: Kenyon Martin names 50 power forwards better than Draymond Green
I was indifferent to Kenyon Martin as a player… probably because we were spoiled in the 00’s with a lot of athletic forwards who gave us endless violent dunks.
But I’m gonna start speaking on his name more frequently, always with a positive connotation.
Rodman led the league in rebounds 7 times to go along with his alltime great defense.
Draymond has been more consistent throughout both of their careers.
Rodman didn't provide the defense he showcased in Detroit with the Spurs & Bulls. By that point, he had put on more weight and wasn't nearly as versatile on that end. Not to mention he was leading the league in rebounds while coming off the bench in some playoff games for the Bulls, that's how much of an offensive liability he was.

Green has ALWAYS been an offensive liability lol. Rodman most definitely showed defensive prowess with the Bulls and Spurs. There's actual youtube videos that tracked Rodmans defense on players like Karl Malone and Hakeem Olajuwan. Shaq too. Rodman transformed his defense into a low post defender.
Just because Rodman came off the bench during the last two Finals runs doesn't mean it was because he was an offensive liability. Kukoc was a better scorer. Rodman still was in there when it counted most. In crunch time.
I always get a kick out of how you guys love to relegate a players career to a playoff series. SMH

Thats an insane argument to make. Rodman absolutely showed his defensive medal on the Bulls. He locked down Karl Malone and Shaq for Christ sake. :lol And should've been 1996 FMVP.

Lets see. Wore out his welcome with the Spurs in just two seasons, also came off the bench alot with the Spurs. Had one year with the Bulls in '96 where he performed great then eventually went back to his head case ways and was coming off the bench in some pivital playoff games for them.
Rodman had averages of 2/7/2 on 30 TS% in the '97 Finals and 3/8/1 in the '98 Finals.
And you guys clown Draymond for his offense?
:lol

I mean sure, Rodman was still a plus defender for the Bulls, but nowhere near what he was in Detroit. Could no longer guard multiple positions at the level he once did and was never even a rim protector to begin with. The Spurs saw no drop off in their defense when Rodman left. He wasn't the game changer he was in Detroit.
And Draymond has not always been an offensive liability. He was actually a much better offensive player than prime Rodman, Draymond is arguably the greatest passing power forward ever and was the primary playmaker for the dynasty Warriors. That alone blows away anything Rodman had to offer on offense.

I talked with him in 2017 when I went to the Finals. He was out of the league for a few years at that point but I was surprised about how he looked a lot smaller in person.

Rodman is arguably the greatest offensive rebounder ever. Not to mention Rodman never looked to shoot that wasn't his job. Even with the Bulls on defense. Why would Rodman have to guard the perimeter when you have Pippen, Jordan, Harper, and Randy Brown?
Again, relegating a whole career to a series. Lol.
My point stands, Rodman was much more impactful than Green was.

Jeff Foster and Reggie Evans were top tier offensive rebounders, doesn't change the fact that they were dogshit offensive players. :lol
Rodman was lucky enough to play before social media. He would be clowned today for his performances & getting benched in the '97 & '98 Finals. Didn't even start games in the '98 Finals and he was even worse as a starter vs Utah in '97. Here you are shitting on Draymond for what he did without Curry and Klay, while ignoring prime Rodman in that situation would have been the exact same outcome. Both were super role players, not the type of players who can carry a team.
Just another case of nostalgia blinding people.
Prime Draymond takes a dump on Chicago Rodman.
Detroit Rodman vs prime Draymond is an actual debate, but I might still take Draymond.

Imagine creating a whole account to prop up MJ’s teammates.

Re: Kenyon Martin names 50 power forwards better than Draymond Green
Seems like everybody in the comments is agreeing what we've told you for years. Dray has no offensive bag whatsoever, is undersized, and prone to crash outs on defense too. The Warriors elite talent and system made him. Kenyon Martin was just as good on defense with similar offense, yet has nowhere near the accolades. This phenomenon is what has been referred to as the "winning spotlight" effect.
I always hated this take from people. His defense is probably top 10 all-time.. The fact that he's able to guard 7-footers and get 9-10 boards a game in the POs while sized like a guard is crazy. He's also an underrated playmaker and has had years where he shot 40+%3PT for the title run and averaged near-triple-doubles on top of averaging like 2 steals and blocks a game for a whole Playoff series. When KD went down and Iguodala was injured he really stepped up and thanks to him they almost took the 2019 Raptors to 7 games despite only having 2 healthy starters by the end of that series. He averaged 15/11/9/2/2 in the WCF + Finals combined that year.
He had one of the best Game 7 performances too when they lost to Cleveland so that got completely overshadowed by Kyrie breaking them at the end of the game. He's a great player.
Kenyon Martin is just ragebaiting for views. He's also probably a little salty that Draymond reminds him a bit of himself but Dray didn't fall off after 5 years in the league.

Imagine creating an account to bash Jordans teammates. I dont lie or even exaggerate. Don't get your panties in a bunch because Jordan had great teammates. Go back and look at my posts before trolls like you made it your mission to undermine Jordans team. Youre the reason we have to keep hearing that 1-9 argument.

Ain't nobody putting Jeff Foster or Reggie Evans in any debate. But you. Lol. I dont even know why this is an argument. Green has played his whole career in a high scoring era, he has a career average on 9ppg. Rodmans averaged 7ppg while playing most of his career in the 90s.
Youre sitting here trying to argue on behalf on a player that got outshot by a damn comedian. Lol a 5'4 tall one at that. Stop it. We saw all we needed to see from Green when Steph and Kaly went down and he sucked. He couldn't lead rats to a garbage can. Lol.
Re: Kenyon Martin names 50 power forwards better than Draymond Green
The fact is that Draymond Green is a Paul Pressey on steroids. Rodman is Bill Russell.
