Re: If Clippers blew it up, is there anyone you would even want?
Its amazing how he loves Dunn for his defense but hates Jason Kidd for his offense even though Kidds offensive game blow dunns out the water and obviously was a more impactful defender :lol :facepalm
I really cant comprehend the incongruency. He hated Ricky Rubio too who was a very good defender and way better floor general than Dunn.
I agree completely about the inconsistency. Also, Dunn is not "great" defensively. That's a total overstatement.

What inconsistencies? I have cated about efficiency even when it wasnt a thing.
Kris Dunn is considered an excellent defensive guard, renowned for his on-ball and off-ball defense, quick hands, and ability to generate turnovers. He is a disruptive force in the backcourt, capable of guarding both smaller guards and bigger players, and has consistently ranked highly in various advanced defensive metrics and categories like steal percentage. His defensive effort often sets the tone for his team and has been described as a "lockdown" and "elite" skill.

Re: If Clippers blew it up, is there anyone you would even want?
"Great" is reserved for players making defensive teams and getting DPOY votes. At the minimum, it's a label that should be used to distinguish renowned players that 10+ years down the line will be remembered as one of the standouts from the period defensively even if they didn't really win a lot of awards (ex: Majerle).
10 years from now, nobody will remember Dunn except the hardcore player fans. They will remember Jrue, Smart, White, Caruso, KCP, etc. Dunn would be the last name to come to mind amongst guards.
Re: If Clippers blew it up, is there anyone you would even want?
Kris Dunn did not qualify for an All-Defensive team in the most recent season because he did not meet the new NBA requirements, specifically playing over 20 minutes in at least 55 games. Despite his elite defensive performance and high advanced statistics, he played in 52 games with 20 or more minutes.
He is elite. Watch him play and tell me otherwise.

Yea but you didnt care about that when Kidd and Rubio did it.
Re: If Clippers blew it up, is there anyone you would even want?
Derrick Jones Jr. Still only 28, super atheletic, decent defender, slightly above average three point shooter, has gotten better each the last four seasons. Averaging 11 PPG on 53/35/79 splits is pretty decent for a wing.

Why would i care about guys that think they can shoot but cant or are a spaz that cant throw a lob or stay in front of an offensive player?

I've watched him a lot, he's not "great". Is Davion Mitchell "great"?
I think they're both just good hard-nosed defenders, but I will not remember them.

35% from 3 is equal to 52.5% from 2PT from an Effective Field Goal Percentage standpoint. I don't know anyone who would say a player who makes that high from 2PT "sucks".

League average is 35.9% this year, last year it was 35.8%. You're making no sense, just yapping.

Which is below average.

My bad. I was confused by the fact that you think Sabonis' current 20% 3PT% (career 34%) reflects his awesome ability to space the floor.
Re: If Clippers blew it up, is there anyone you would even want?
Over 37 % the past 3 seasons. Playmaking big that can shoot and score at the rim. many ways to spread the floor. Maybe we should look back at his college days at gonzaga wgile were at it?
