Two arrest warrants have been issued for comedian Katt Williams after he allegedly punched someone in the face at an Atlanta hotel back in November -- and the whole thing was allegedly caught on tape ... audio tape.

Arrest warrants for battery and false imprisonment were issued last month for Katt in Fulton County, GA, stemming from an alleged incident at the Four Seasons Hotel the night of November 12.
According to the police report, Merion Powers claims Katt invited him to the hotel to discuss a debt -- when Powers sensed trouble was brewing he pressed the record button on his cell phone.
According to the report, "Mr. Williams was on audio recording stating that he did physically strike Mr. Power's once in the nose" and that Powers' nose "did show signs of swelling." Katt was never arrested -- but warrants were issued on December 28.
Now ... a source connected with Katt claims it went down like this: Powers was attempting to extort the comedian over a musical recording made by Williams, and when Williams told Powers to pound sand, Powers' pal called the hotel security, security called the cops, but the cops didn't believe Powers and left without arresting Katt.
something like that..
Once I googled him and saw the picture, I realized that this must be Kevin Hart posting this. No shot at becoming that great. Dude is not even really that funny. He tries to hard, like Tracey Morgan. Kind of wonder who gave these guys jobs to begin with.

Kevin Hart is HILARIOUS. SMH @ anyone saying he's not funny.

I didn't laugh at one thing he said in Cop Out
Horrible performance. I lost mad respect and time for him that night.
Funniest thing Tracy Morgan ever did was "Hustle Man" from Martin.
"What's happenin Chief"

No kizzle.. Hart ain't touchin Chappelle..
Am I right?
wait, kizzle actually made dis fread? tsk tsk tsk... hart is pretty good but he's too neutral for my taste. and he is in no way on the same stratosphere as chapeezy.
No kizzle.. Hart ain't touchin Chappelle..
Chapelle >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hart
I watched one of Hart's standups, not really funny at all.
This thread is an inult to Dave's work.
His new television show "Real Husbands of Hollywood" looks to be "Chappelle's Show" for this decade.

Tracey Morgan is funnier than Kevin Hart.
But yes, none have the comedic genius of Chappelle, and Hart certainly isn't on that level.
wtf that midget can never be chappelle da gawd

Morgan and Hart, I have them very close in stand up. Maybe Hart, slightly. I got Morgan as a comedic actor though.
He is cool...I think most peoples' issue with him is that he is way bigger than he should be. You know was FUNNY, like truly funny? Patrice O'Neal. RIP. He easily could have been Kevin Hart status if he wasn't so ruthless to the people in power.

Oh man that Elephant in the Room stand up was AMAZING. He spit so much truth there along with real comedy. Reminded me of Chapelle.

By next year, Jeff will add a Kevin Hart smilie.
Kevin Hart is great. To me he is like 2-3 favorite stand-up comedians and you might remember I once made a thread wondering if he could already become considered a legend.
But the Chappelle comparison is a bad one. Dave Chappelle was on another planet than pretty much all but a select few during his time because he added the satire. Hart is a terrific story teller, but he doesn't have that extra factor.
And won't ever get there, it's not his brand of comedy. But I do think he will go down as one of the best, and he needs to have that one movie or t.v. role where he's front and center and it's hilarious. He's been good in supporting roles and the things he's stared in have been shit (not his fault).
But I doubt we see another Dave Chappelle for a while.

When Chappelle's show came out, there was no way SOMEBODY wasn't gonna bring it up to you the day after a new episode aired. You couldn't escape it. People were quoting it, referencing the characters etc. Every day after it aired, people were gonna be talking about it somehow. And this started from episode 1 with the clayton bigsby skit.
I didn't even know Hart's new show started yet. I haven't heard a single person say a single word about it. The only thing I've ever heard about it was when i saw Hart doing an interview on Conan about it.
I'm sorry Kizzle, Hart is funny, but he's funny in supporting roles. He needs SOMEONE to be reacting to. He's not a leading man
Dude is a try hard. Chappelle is a LEGEND!

If you were in front of me and said this i'd smash you over the head with a brick kizzy
The only thing stopping Hart from being the next Chappelle is actually being funny.

LOL
Patrice O'Neal was a monster, i remember the first time i saw this clip it was like 2:30 AM in my crib and i woke up my entire house after about the 4th time he said "watcha' doin?"
See Dave Chappelle introduced a new formula to TV, one that wasnt really expanded upon before him. After him there appeared a 101 tv shows that use the same idea. Thats why he quit he knew he couldnt keep up the same consistency in his skits. Kevin Hart would just be another generic knock off. No better than all the other shit thats out. Chappele was quite gifted with his ideas too which i doubt kevin hart is good at,.
By new Dave Chappelle, I mean the hottest comic in the game. He is that dude right now.
Remember when Eddie Murphy was the new Richard Pryor. Just meant he's the hottest in the game at that time.
By new Dave Chappelle, I mean the hottest comic in the game. He is that dude right now.
So Kevin Hart is the new Dave Chappelle, in the same sense that Dwight Howard is the new Shaq basically
So Kevin Hart is the new Dave Chappelle, in the same sense that Dwight Howard is the new Shaq basically
Well when you put it like that it sounds bad.
I mean Hart < Chappelle < Murphy < Pryor. But it would be like that for any comic.
Hart is the flavor of the month, not the comic of this generation. Chappelle, Murphy and Pryor were at a different level. I'm not saying he can never achieve that status, but he's no where near that at the moment.
You seem to really hate Chappelle.
You seem to really hate Chappelle.
Not really, I have the Chappelle's Show collection and stand up from him.
Hart will ultimately be more profitable and popular than Chappelle ever was and still be pretty funny in the process. Sounds like he's winning to me.
Chapelle was just on another level. The thing about Chapelle is that can be socially conscious and insightful while still being hilarious. I'm not saying you have to be but it takes a lot of ability to do that.
Chapelle "How old is 15 really?"
