he's gonn start and have a breakout season for the cats
if the cats cut dampier, i would love the heat to pick him up. would make heat's team defense alot tougher
I called this move a week or 2 ago. Kwame still is reasonably young, and has proven himself to be able to affect games with his D. I like this signing.

I actually like it too. Nazr will definitely be the starter at the beginning but having Kwame off the bench won't be a bad thing. At worst he will put up Chandler-like stats at 1/10 the cost. And he's better than Diop. Hell I'm better than Diop.
Now if we can just sign Adam Morrison and we will have MJ's 2 biggest busts together on the same team.
You have Kurt Thomas lol.
Old as hell, short as hell, although he can still play and be a mentor. A bigger body would be perfect as a backup C on the Bulls.
Signing became official today:

good move. hes not great offensively, but dude is a solid rebounder and defender.
Kwame agrees to one-year minimum deal w/Bobcats to try to "create a new chapter," according to Bartelstein, after unhappy Wiz chapter w/MJ - espn

If Kwame got rid of those butter fingers its a very good sign
Peeps still think Kwame is going to have a breakout season?
Anyway, a low risk signing. He's a serviceable backup C when he gets limited minutes.
Jordan trying to make up for his mistake.
I wonder how akward the meeting will be when Kwame signs that contract.
Kwame : " I for give you Mike "
MJ : " I for give you Kwame "
If Kwame gets his act together, he can be the Bobcats starting center and become the player Ervin Johnson was during his prime in Milwaukee - tough defender of the paint, shot blocker, solid rebounder, solid energy player on offense.
Book it. It's his starting spot at center, if he plays well. And he's got a real shot.
Ervin ran the floor really well , trying to stay in front of his assignment for the defensive end.
Kwame had Collin's under his freshman year , then Jackson in LA , now he has the master teacher in Brown.
I'd say if he doesn't average 28 minutes and 10 boards and 1.5 blocks a game and 3 fouls , his career will be over.
I hope he does well, and i think L.Brown has the juice to get that out of K. Brown ... and i would have to think MJ probably has mello'ed enough to use Kwame in practice instead of a whipping post , a guy to loosen'up the locker room. from what the Lakers said he was a great locker room team mate.

I'm still waiting for it. He'll lead the Bobcats to a title next season, regular season MVP and finals MVP.
Kwame to the Bobcats is sticky worthy?
:oldlol:
MJ is NOT letting him go. :lol
But seriously, it's a decent signing.
At this point Kwame is the better player. If Charlotte can not get anything for Damp, I expect them to cut him, and for him to sign with a contender who needs 6 fouls and 10-15 minutes.
No he's not and its not close.
Brown is not good at defense either. He can defend his own guy in the post, but he drops rebounds with his small hands and doesn't undestand off ball or team defense. No offensive game. He's a body, a backup to Nazr Mohammed, teaming with Diop. Dampier was acquired as a trade chip and/or salary relief. He was never going to stay for 13 mil. Kwame is 10 mil cheaper.
