Dude that isn't cool don't disrespect Grant Hill. He plays very very well even at his advanced age. I agree they should start Pietrus though. I've always thought they needed a smart veteran leader to come off the bench for the Suns.

Noah will be back b4 the deadline at the end of February. So the trade can go down mid-Feb.

As a Suns fan JRich has grown on me over the years and he has really improved and helped this team. I just can't imagine losing JRich at the SG position who has tons of heart to get Carter who is the Tin Man...

It will be nice to get rid of Turk, Gortat is a real big that the Suns desperately need and Pietrus is a solid defender so overall I think the deal may in fact help the Suns because of the size and defense but I'm just sad to see JRich for Carter...

J-Rich is the main focal point of the Suns trade, not Turk. And Turk should be able to come in and do what he used to for Orlando, pretty much.

Personally, I feel both teams improve here...

Vince goes to a system better suited to his style, and Phoenix gets a mobile Center who can also step out and hit the 12 footer.

They also get a pick and from what I've been hearing, they could have interest in Anthony Randolph (not sure how true this one is).

The Magic had to do something... They do seem to get a little weaker defensively, but perhaps the younger-legs gained in the deal can overcome that.

I doubt this is the last move they make, Pietrus and Gortat are good players to have as role players. Evenutally the Suns are gonna have to trade Nash for something. Not saying this year but next years team will look different.

Good trade for the Magic in paper I guess, because you just never know what you're going to get from Rich and Hedo but they get rid of guys who weren't playing well or much and get guys who can do what they like which is shoot. Hopefully they get an active and motivated J-Rich and Hedo goes back to being a play maker and decent go-to guy.

Otis Smith is really stupid, he thinks the problem for the Magic were V.C, Lewis, and Gortat, partially, I think the main failure is still there, Jameer Nelson, who can't even play make or average more then 10 assists on a team with Dwight, V.C,Lewis, J.J, ETC... I like Jameer Nelson but the Magic need a true point guard to have a chance, them just trading and taking on huge contracts isn't going to win them a title.

The Magic's management is just some of the worst people in the world. I bet it went something like this.

Suns raped in this deal. Don't know what the hell Otis Smith was thinking. Gortat and Pietrus is going to beast in the Suns system, and VC might very well blow up again. Magic gave up two fantastic roleplayers in Gortat and Pietrus who are starter quality so they can have Turk's contract and a J-Rich who is good, but is about to hit 30.

And the Magic gave up a 1st Round Pick too? Wow. :wtf:

I like the Arenas-Lewis trade, but giving up Vinsanatity, Gortat, Pietrus and a 1st round pick for those two guys wasn't good. Now the Suns are good again, damn, lol.

I guess this is one of those trades where we cant tell if things will work out until we actually see them play. But im optimistic for the outcome for all the teams involve. My initial reaction was they are making a big mistake for trading gortat but its clear that they rather give bass the minutes. Im kind of excited to see how phoenix is going to use gortat. Anyway, on paper the magic is the biggest winner in this trade having rid of the overpaid lewis, reacquiring hedo and adding arenas and j.rich into their backcourt.
