i would expect sheed to take jermaines minutes
C's fans celebrating that he didnt go to Miami.
Or trade him for Jeff Green! http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=48soner Green/Ivey for JO/Gody.
I wouldn't because Perk is the future. In 2 years Shaq, Jermaine, and and Sheed are DEFINITELY gone. And the center position is the hardest to fill. I'd keep him.

I didn't mention Perk...
If anything I want Perk's minutes down so everyone forgets about how great he is and we can sign him to a cheaper contact :oldlol:

 Sorry I thought you were using Hondo's trade idea.
I think Perk is what you have to give up to get Green though. Or at least something better than Jermaine.:lol

Definitely. Boston's future is not bleak because they have a good and young PG&C duo that will still be there after the big-3 era is over.

Yeah, probably. In reality I'd want a better defender than Green if we were going to trade for anyone.
well per Stephen A. Smith

PF-Garnett/Rasheed/Big Baby

.
so he is sure the lakers await in the finals?
Yeah, probably. In reality I'd want a better defender than Green if we were going to trade for anyone.
Plus green's a tweener, which definitely not a good thing. I think the Celtics are pretty stacked as it is. And probably going to win it all anyways.
This may be done to replace Jermaine more than anything. The guy is always going to have knee problems and the Celtics prob want someone more consistent in terms of availability.

I have seen all sorts of rumors about the celts not wanting to pay perk/deal with his overinflated sense of worth. I hope that is the case, cause I would love to see him as a FA, even coming off that injury.

Your pistons could definitely use him. But yeah I've heard those rumors too. i think they'll give him the QO, and hope nobody signs him this offseason, due to the uncertain future of the cap and such.
SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!:applause: if this true the NBA season just got ten times better
And they can call the reunion "Darko: Had he not happened"
HEY Darko single-handedly carried those bums to a ring!

Please don't go quoting about Rasheed Wallace return. All I said on DP's Show is that he said months ago he planned on coming out of

Retirement to help the C's take on the Lakers. That doesn't mean he will. I haven't spoken to him in months. Who knows how he feels now.
haha "officially"

oooh that joyner, he's got the skilzz with the words.

I don't see how that is Official that Sheed comes back? Would be fun to watch though.
I don't think they can use a QO on Perk? He is on his second deal already not his rookie deal. But they can sign him to 120% of his current contract, or use his Bird Rights (if they exist next year). If the Celts pass on Perk, they will regret it. The two most valuable positions are PG and C, they have their PG locked up, now get that center locked up.
I think Perk is gonna get PAID, something like what Haywood got! People call me crazy due to his injury and lack of offensive game. But the guys is a monster on defense, tough as nails, and his offensive game is improving. Tough centers are not a dime a dozen anymore like the past.
He would look good in OKC if they pass on signing Green.

yep its clearly me
I'm glad he's back. He deserves this championship after his effort in Game 7 in the Finals. :D

Against some teams maybe Garnett could play the 3 and then with Sheed and Perk/Shaq/JO play zone and essentially shut down the paint.
Sheed >> Jermaine.
Woot.
If he can get his shape back, definitely a great addition.
A C/PF that can shoot 3's can always create mismatch

I COMPLETELY thought he was on his rookie deal. Good point you made there. I didn't know he was in the 03 draft class. And yeah they have his bird right since he's been there more than three years.
And yeah he's gonna get a Haywood type deal, and like you said his offense is improving.
Nah, I just don't see the minutes there for him.
DAMN that @sshole is back... f%cking floping loudmouth..
I would rather see Sheed playing again with Rip, Chauncey and Melo on the Nets if ever that trade happened.
It's like 2004 Pistons reunion + Melo :pimp:
IDK who would start tough? Rasheed or Kris?
Wow that sure is a whole lot of big bodies in Boston to throw at Bynum and Gasol. I'm not sure if that will work.
If Rasheed comes back, my prediction is he'll set the record for quickest player in NBA history to get 15 tech's, and an automatic 1 game suspension. No way he'll be able to adjust to the new rules.
In all honesty, I don't see him coming back. Perkins will be back soon, plus they have enough bigs already.
He should join Miami. He'll get a lot more playing time there. :lol
I'll wait for this to be official before I really devote the mental energies required to bust a metaphysical nut.
Nah, I just don't see the minutes there for him.
If everyone's healthy then thats very true, but you have to figure between Perk, KG, Shaq, and J.O. that someone is going to be dinged up at some point during the playoffs.

Wow ... Heat have no chance vs that front line.. The Lakers are looking good now that Bynum is back.. I think they are the only team that can beat a healthy Celtics team.. Well if they get the same help they got last year from the refs in game 7...:D
People really think a 36 year old sheed is going to help them? He isn't better than any of the guys in front of him and according to doc rivers there have been no discussions at all of sheed returning to Boston and sas said on twitter that sheed mentioned he planned to not that he will

He wouldn't hurt plus Boston could play more aggressively with their fouls. Additionally they would have another body to throw at Howard defensively.
Awesome! Glad to see he's coming back. I was surprised he retired after how well he played in game 7.
Awesome! Glad to see he's coming back. I was surprised he retired after how well he played in game 7.
it is not official that he is coming back yet.
Wouldn't be surprised to see KG play SF against the Lakers/Bulls some. Also I'm sure half of their front court will be fouled out vs Miami
Good thing he's coming back midseason because if he started from game 1 he would probably end up suspended the entire postseason due to too many techs
:oldlol:
This is actually a bigger deal against Orlando I think. Sheed has always played D12 real, real tough.

Sheed always seemed able to get into Dwights head, and Shaq is permanently in Dwights head. Having those 2 guys in there and Perkins to defend Howard would limit him pretty good.
