What a dumbass, he should know what he is ingesting and what is banned from the NBA. But it's also a surprise that the NBA actually tests for this supplement.
DHEA is really weak. You can get it at CVS or Wallgreens. I had better results with a damn multi-vitamin.
Bad Mayo.

So it looks like 10 day bans are for 2nd offenses. Although I don't recall Mayo being suspended for 5 games prior, so maybe he got busted in the off season or something. Supposedly before there are any suspensions, failed drug tests are kept secret, so there's no telling who's been caught for what because as long as they don't do enough to get suspended it never makes out in to the open.
It's basically a lame over the counter supplement that is not proven to do anything...
Should def not be classed as an anabolic steroid.. :facepalm hell if you're only getting banned 10 games u might as well jump on the gear, why would u risk it for that zero gain bullshit..???:confusedshrug:

Most athletes who use performance enhancers use it to recover more quickly from injury. So they can come in all shapes and sizes.

Yeah I guess the original test was kept a secret. I'm really surprised he was using an illegal substance.

Like someone said, the supplement industry is unregulated so they don't necessarily list everything that's in the supplement. There was some study awhile back that showed a fairly large % of supplements were tainted with banned substances that weren't listed on the packages.
the chicago bulls welcome you mayo.
Probably an accident.
No NBA player should ever fail a drug test... because these drug tests are scheduled months in advance.

So the only reason DHEA is legally sold over the counter was because a senator from Utah, Orren Hatch, threatened to torpedo some anti-steroid bill if they didn't write in an exemption for DHEA. Why would he do that? Because his son is a lobbyist for the supplement industry, and they wanted to keep DHEA OTC. [claydavis]Shiiiiiiiit.[/claydavis]

But the thing with LeBron is he look like a freaking man before he came in the NBA his rookie season.

best draft class ever :applause:
LOL...What kind of joke is the NBA making??
What kind of nonsense is this?? The guy tested positive for DHEA, which is a supplement you can pick up at GNC or Vitamin Shoppe; it enhances immune function and adrenal gland hormone production (along with cortisol). I have absolutely NO idea why this supplement would be banned by the NBA. Must be some kind of joke.

LOL This is by no means a real roids case.
It's pretty lame that this is considered the same as HGH or some other anabolic steroids. I wonder who we will get for Mayo now?

I see it this way:
The best 4 players from the 84 draft (Hakeem, MJ, Barkley, Stockton) were better than the best 4 from ANY other draft ever.
But 96's overall package is the best as far as a great volume of players goes.
Kobe, Iverson, Nash, Marbury, Camby, Walker, Abdul-Rahim, Allen, O'Neal.
After the top 4 players in 84, there was a 5,000 foot dropoff in talent. 96 just has so many good-to-great players it's crazy.

Nah its because Iverson was the one taking the picture.

there was not a dropoff in talent in 84...
lets assume kobe, ai, nash and allen make the HOF: that leaves steph, camby, walker, shariff, and jermaine
i would put:
sam perkins, alvin robertson, michael cage, otis thorpe, jay humphries against them any day; all of these guys had great careers too

The 84 guys MIGHT win an actual game against them based on the sheer incompetence of the Marbury/Walker combo alone. But talentwise I still like the 96 boys better :oldlol:

Someone going to take a chance on him. It is a matter who come next month.
Just keep taking mental notes of the nay-sayyers OJ. Make them pay , nd get the last laugh when your traded.

OJ needs to see Kobe's work ethic. Then he will get his head straight. Man he would benefit so much if he saw how the Celtics conducted themselves,. Right now he is BFF's with Zach Randolph of all ppl on the team and before that Darius Miles.

could you list the names of those in that draft picture?
could you list the names of those in that draft picture?
I'll try....
[L-R]
Camby, Ray Allen, Marbury, Kobe, Shareef Abul-Raheem(spell check?), Jermaine O'Neal, Kerry Kittles, Nash, John Wallace, Shimmy 'toine Walker, ????
I have no idea who the last one is. Sitting on the ground near Walker.
That last guy's name is also Walker. Samaki Walker?
P.S. I had to cheat for Samaki's name. Wikipedia'd the 1996 draft.
But I did do the rest without cheating. I don't think many people remember Kittles or Wallace.
