Re: NBA Card Collector?
Any of you that think they are worth anything are crazy. Cards USED to be worth money until the internet came. I have a rookie signed Jordan, Pippen, etc and they aren't worth more than $20.
5-10k? yah right - you could have every card signed by each player in mint condition and they aren't worth that.
There is maybe 3 cards in existence that fetch high dollar - the Honus Wagner card is worth a lot.
I can't tell if you are trying to be an asshole or if you are just ignorant to the trading card marketplace. There are a lot of cards that are pretty worthless right now because they were over produced in the 90's. However, there are a lot of cards that are worth a lot of money both old and new.
Rare Michael Jordan 90's insert cards are going nut's right now. At this point I only collect gem mint graded cards and certified autos. Raw cards don't hold their value very well. People don't like to buy them on the internet because crooks sell ****ed up cards on ebay and describe them as mint condition. A non certifed auto card isn't worth jack because of the millions of fakes out there. I assure you my collection is worth quite a bit.

None of our 90's cards did, i've got about 10 full decks and a half dozen binders of nothing but upperdeck and fleer
They oversaturated the market with so many cards in the 90's that none of them have value except the super rare rookies, but even their value continues to drop :(
Now fakes/replicas are so precise it's made card collecting worthless

They definitely aren't worthless but the value has dropped some. Still money to make if you look hard enough

Re: NBA Card Collector?
I've been collecting full time since 1986, when the hobby really took off. Card prices went to levels never before seen in the hobby a little after the pandemic started last year but prices have come back down quite a bit but still a lot higher than prior to the pandemic. Think the market is just settling into an equilibrium.
What is the best card in my collection? A 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan ROOKIE Card graded a PSA 9 MINT. At its peak, in about Feb 2021, the card was going for $75,000. Now they go for about $25,000.
