Yeah we have troops there still but its a security force, and as I mentioned in a different thread, we have a similar situation in places like Vietnam still.
^this is what I have problem with... People are upset over war, but not upset over a security force...
we have bases and security forces all over the world in 100+ countries... Thats part of whats bankrupting us..
This isnt an Empire, it is a Republic.
We cannot afford troops all over the world guarding other peoples' sh*t.. makes no sense and we are soo used to it, we just generally go along with the silly logic behind it.
bring those troops home and you will save alot of money and protect these borders better.. our troops are to protect US.... not the rest of world from God knows what..

i agree.
My point is more that no one is saying were still at war with Vietnam, yet we have a security force there.

well, if you think they are there to guard other peoples shit you need to think again. They are there to guard the resources utilized by US corporations, be it labor, oil, banana plantations, etc.
i agree.
My point is more that no one is saying were still at war with Vietnam, yet we have a security force there.
no you don't
no you don't
you get the point. "the US has security forces there."
yet now that you pointed that out other people r going to nitpick and flame me.

no they don't, it was the only place the US attacked and then asked to stand alone afterward. Not sure about flaming, your statement wrong.

We got "security forces" in waay too many countries... We need to bring our security forces home to secure us....

this is true, but there is not one boot in Vietnam.

well, apparently Jizzo's forgotten.
even the africans are turning on shitbama now, a bunch of the nigerian and ghana guys from my school been coming up to me the past days talking about how they completely lost faith in obama and he is not the man he pretended to be, they all talking about him on facebook, they can clearly see the bullshit of America going in to Libya to "protect america" when Libya has nothing to do with america except we want all their oil, how come the common american cant?
THIS IS HOW ROME FELL, a bunch of shitty leaders in a row got elected and sent us on multiple pointless expensive shitty wars.
WHY ISN'T ANYONE LOOKING AT HISTORY. We had our Pax Romana now we are on the sad slow decline.
thanks to bushy balls and shitbama

I don't think there was any electing going on towards the end of the Roman empire.

wait. a guy who is an active elected representative and a member of one of those parties, who refused to run against his party in the last election, is going to be the end of the two-party dominance? OK

To change the game, you gotta play the game.

Well his son is a tea bagger. That's a 3rd party right?
Shall I remind you
To change the game, you gotta play the game.
I agree with boozehound here...
Hawker knows what kind of treatment Paul gets in the republican party.. They laughed and mocked him right outta the 08 elections and then turned around and tried to co-op the energy he brought by taking up the tea party cause AFTER they got spanked by Obama...
Republicans are holding him back.... Im sure he has no desire to run independent mostly because of the rules making it soo tough, but the GOP is stifling his message....
he needs to get out of there...
I think he too old too.. But alot of his ideas can still be used
I think he too old too.. But alot of his ideas can still be used
His followers (Hawker) need to find a younger guy to run under the RP philosophy. Otherwise it's a wasted cause.
*edit: RP stands for Ron Paul, not yours truly.
Voting for Obama... Im not surprised at all that Obama has not gotten it done as president
but we have to remember
Your choice was him or Palin/McCain..
As disappointed as Iam in Obama, I still think we went the right way at the fork in the road...
The problem is that we are left with piss poor choices for president... Both people candidates are corporate puppets with no real allegiance to the American public.
we wont ever have a real president until we vote that person in regardless of who the media tells you can win and who cannot.
True
That might be the same thing in 2012 with Palin running the top spot.
Didn't "Bruno" put his meat on Ron Pauls grill?
That guy has no shot at winning anything.
True

Yep Bruno made sure Ron Paul has no chance at any office after the way he reacted to that:roll:
Palin, look at reality she would not be any worse than Obama, the only difference is her speeches wont be inspiring and lift peoples spirits, like Obama she would likely get nothing important done and just get us into more useless unneeded military conflict
He's been terrible so far :facepalm
im black but i still got political view. i cant believe guys like colin powell went past their ideologies and views on their country just to support race :facepalm

I think he stands a very good chance of being re-elected. The republicans currently don't have a front-runner with as much political savvy and if a 3rd party candidate starts to garner a lot of support it will draw mainly from republican voters.

Palin is dummy... I know more than that broad.... She would have been much worse on the strength of her stupidity alone...

Plus she's a traditional point guard whereas Obama is more of a combo guard. Not really fair to compare.
Well his son is a tea bagger. That's a 3rd party right?
all of them, or if not a select few, ran as Republicans.
Oh Obama, you mean the guy who won the Nobel Peace Prize without doing shit?
If you don't vote, just shut up.
:applause:
seriously, STFU if you sat on your ass and kept silent.
Oh Obama, you mean the guy who won the Nobel Peace Prize without doing shit?
The winner of the nobel peace prize has sent his own troops into armed conflict in three different countries since winning the award.

that chick is a traditional moron....
about as smart as a napkin

Of course they did.

please show me the reports of us sending troops into Libya. Because of all the news I've heard, there are none. As I said before, its all air strikes. I guess you could say thats armed conflict but again, as I said before, it was more a decision by the UN than Obama.

I hope Mitt Romney can start gaining some support. He's a guy who I can trust as President. I might cry if Pallin is nominated for Pres or Vice Pres

100+ tomahawk missiles I think qualifies.

I still don't know how to read him. He was able to get elected gov. of Mass. as a republican, which is no small feat.
I still don't know how to read him. He was able to get elected gov. of Mass. as a republican, which is no small feat.
I think he's the Republicans best option right now unless some other candidate pops out of nowhere like Obama did (Jindal etc.)
I still don't know how to read him. He was able to get elected gov. of Mass. as a republican, which is no small feat.
he will be unable to garner support from populist repub types who now rule the roost. So, I have trouble seeing him getting the repub nomination unless the teaparty types destroy each other.
I still don't know how to read him. He was able to get elected gov. of Mass. as a republican, which is no small feat.
he changes more than chameleon though... He even changes more than McCain... and thats tough to do these days..
he is still figuring out how to win the nomination when Obama copied his health care and brings up that fact all the time
Romney is going to have enough trouble from Huckabee and Newt and them clowns :oldlol: they are gonna keep brining up romneycare.. He is the most sound candidate but he has romneycare tattoed on his forehead and the other GOP candidates wont let him forget that
