Very curious to see how Rubio is going to play in the NBA of course...
Rubio = GOAT PG

Are we trying to create All-Non Defensive team ?
Rubio
Fields
Melo
Love
Amare
It can't get much worse than that.

Who cares? We already gave up on D when we traded all the tea in China for Chubs McMelo. Kevin Love rebounding and then throwing a quick, crisp outlet to Rubio who finds Melo or Amar'e on the break? That would be awesome.

We made that deal to get another superstar. Now we have 2 stars and we need to surround them with players who will make our team balanced.
Trading for unproven young point guard and a guy who gets out of way on defense just to collect boards won't help us long term.
By the way,I would do that trade because TWolves would get absolutely robbed.
But no way that Kevin Love and Rubio are our priorities.
I never wish for a player to fail, but I can't stand this guy. Can't wait to see D. Rose, CP3, Deron Williams tear this dude a new one.

I was obviously joking. There is no way that was a serious trade proposal.
Ricky Rubio huh? I'll believe it when I see it...
He's had a really disappointing season, hopefully he'll have a better one with the wolves.
Now draft ENES !!!
yes, he had a disappointing season but there's no doubt minny needs PG help. they need shooters too but i'll be surprised if rubio doesn't at least average 6.3 assists. he's gonna be depended on to push the ball.
My prediction:
6 points/8 assists/3 rebounds/1.5 steals/2 TOs on 38% from the field and 32% from 3
He's sure much better that Ridnour .I think that people see him trough Navarro ,Calderon or Fernandez but i don't see that he's ever gonna be as good as those guys.
Sota better get some shooters if Rubio's supposed to be racking up dimes. Can only run so many PnR variations with Love.
Like a PG Darko!
He's sure much better that Ridnour .I think that people see him trough Navarro ,Calderon or Fernandez but i don't see that he's ever gonna be as good as those guys.
just because they're european? calderon is inconsistent. fernandez is a totally different player. rubio reminds me more of telfair and sessions. i don't think he's a star but i think he can be a starter.
grinder, 8 assists sounds too high man. rambis still runs remnants of the triangle and that isn't exactly PG friendly. i think 6.5 assists is attainable and it should help. i also think he'd average a bit more pts than assists.
moreover, i def think this makes flynn expendable. there's no need to have 3 PG that don't separate each other by any big margin. i agree with OP on trading flynn. just get what you can and go with rubio for the time being. i don't think flynn is going to breakout into an all-star all of a sudden.
Ricky Rubio/Luke Ridnour/Jonny Flynn
Wes Johnson/Martell Webster/Wayne Ellington
Michael Beasley/Derrick Williams/Lazar Hayward
Kevin Love/Anthony Randolph/Anthony Tolliver
Darko Milicic/Nikola Pekovic
That's actually not a bad team. Rubio didn't have a great year in Europe though.
basically, its the same roster from last year with but with the addition of an overrated piece of trash PG.
I thought rubio was a myth
Rubio is garbage anyway. Whats the big deal?:confusedshrug:
No offence to Wolves fans, but they are going to be the same steaming pile of crap next season.. Same useless coach and poor roster..
Beasley only has one more year there right??
He's sure much better that Ridnour .I think that people see him trough Navarro ,Calderon or Fernandez but i don't see that he's ever gonna be as good as those guys.
Better than Ridnour, but worse than Navarro or Fernandez? Ridnour's worst season is better than anything Fernandez or Navarro ever did in the NBA.

No what i try to say is because of this great generation that Spain had(Navarro,Gasol,Calderon,Fernandez,Reyes...) people tend to hype him up as some kind of earl and the next big thing.

Did you ever watch Fernandez or Navarro play or you just look into stats?
Luke Ridnour is the PG of the worst team in NBA
bahahaha god I love this site. Some of the rubio haters whove never watched him play make me laugh
Did you ever watch Fernandez or Navarro play or you just look into stats?

He's just a role player, not that great, but he is a starter in this league for nearly a generation.
The thought of Navarro or Fernandez consistently starting on any NBA team makes me nauseous. Navarro chucked it up one season and knew he wasn't NBA material. Fernandez can't even get consistent playing time even though he is basically the only healthy player on the Blazers.
Congrat Timberwolf and welcome to the NBA RR.
Complete a package deal with Lakers. Give them Flynn or Ridnour and whatever else for Bynum
that article should have mentioned Rubio was getting no PT for Barcelona, so no wonder he chose to take the TWolves offer.
I just don't get how a dude who can't even start in a euro league, and gets awful stats can be some sought after player and hyped in the NBA :wtf:
