Great thread.
WOW!!! Brendan Haywood is sliding. Lost against Serge Ibaka (was 0/3) before this tip ball.
i have a theory that the jump ball is the most important aspect of the game. if you win the jump ball, u win the game.
the reason is because by winning the jump ball, the team gains tremendous confidence. winning a jump ball is known to feel the same as hitting a game-winning shot. the losing team receives a shock that will traumatize them throughout the game, which is not possible to recover from, within 24 hours of the jump tip.
it would be great if u did a correlation between won jump ball and won games, i'm sure my theory will be supported.
Winning the jump ball is overrated.

it was sad when Big Z retired, because when he was in the league, he was one of the best jump ball tippers. he was a legend. that is why the lebron-era cavs won so many games in the regular season.

legend.
Man only 3 players left with 100% JBT. Who would have thaught that DJ White would be one of the best ball tippers in the league??? Better than Dwight Howard.
LA ready for Gasol+Bynum for DJ White??
Stiemsma caps of a great debut start by getting the tip. Got a future
chandler 0/5 :facepalm
some 7 footer he is
Who's ready for the tip off's tonight. 10+ tip offs man.
Josh Smith already 12 tip offs man what a hero.
Andrew Bynum
Jump balls appeal directly to Greg Monroe's weak point: jumping.
D12 fans can cheer his guy now. He is 9/11 from jump ball tip. At least beteter than at free throw ROFLMAO

:wtf:
OP don't count jump balls in the middle of the game, it ruins your precious stats :(
You cant say Theoo is not a deciding force on ISH. It took only one season for him to get people to care about Jump ball tips :lol
Wait, what do the stars mean? In-game tips? And did they get them, or miss them?
Star means that the player contested an overtime tip, which I think are the most important tip offs.
OP don't count jump balls in the middle of the game, it ruins your precious stats :(
It just becomes lots of guys with 1 jump ball contested. I mean
a) they don't matter
b) guys like Jerryd Bayless contest 1-2 jump balls every year, it just becomes too much to count on a site like ISH
c) it can result in a score (Milicic)
Okay
#1 - DeAndre Jordan and Marc Gasol seem to be running away with this. JBTPOY???
#2 - Lots of people say they will rep me every week if I do this, I still not get any reps??? Everyone on ISH a liar or what?

Every time you bump this thread I rep you. I have already repped the first three posts in it (you can't rep the same post twice).
And today, I got this:
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to NauruDude again.
Also, barf:
DAL - Brendan Haywood - 5/17 - 29%

New man at the top!!!
Sophomore Derrick Favors coming up with the goods!!!
I think you should rearrange the list by teams. It hurts my eyes finding Heat player's ball percentage. :D

Nice idea mate
Who will be TMIJBJOTH .The most improved jump ball jumper of the year?
Who will be TMIJBJOTH .The most improved jump ball jumper of the year?
Any one who counted the JBT last year? I'd put my money on Marc Gasol though.
Interesting Stats Id say, good discovery.
Repped again.
31 Jan:
Amir Johnson replaces Byron Mullens in the bottom 5.
Marc Gasol goes up two places, from 5th to 3rd.
Repped
THEOO (the tipball expert) would be proud of this thread
Big update tonight. Dwight Howard is replaced by Andrew Bynum in the top 5 after losing the jump ball to ROY HIBBERT. What a bum!!!
I'm seriously starting to doubt that anyone want's Dwight anymore, especially after some lousy tip ball play recently.
