Still better though. A slightly better rebounding difference can be the difference to who rebounded better.

I honestly don't know why people think that the Knicks have a legit shot. What makes you think that? Are we basing our answers on pure assumptions? The only time when the Knicks can win a game is when Melo and Amare score a bunch each, on nice efficiency. And I don't know about Melo locking up the MVP. :confusedshrug:

Re: Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?
NY has a hell of a lot better chance than most #7s. Coming from a Heat fan, they are scary.
-
Re: Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?
Because Knicks already play better against Bulls while they have no chance against Miami. And this is not even playoffs Miami, its just regular season Miami. We all saw how Miami went up a few levels when the playoffs started. I'm not sure that Chicago has another level in them.
And then there is also the fact that Miami have Lebron, Wade and Bosh in a best of 7 series while Bulls don't have 3 superstars.
I dont think so. theyre just lucky that boston traded perkins which would be their advantage against boston then chicago is overrated. Dallas is the only team that is capable and they really beat them.

No, you're a homer. Woodson is clearly a better coach than Spo. The only thing saving Spo is the star power he has. No way in hell Spo goes to NY and change them to a 16-6 team like Woodson did.

First off, this is the playoffs, ANYTHING can happen. How is it based off pure assumptions when you can clearly see whats going on. Woodson has taken a shitty Knicks team, and has been able to get them to 7th seed. With D'Antoni, they would be out the playoffs right now. Not just that, but for the past 2 months, they have easily been a top 5 team in the East.

They have almost the same amount of talent, they have a top 10 player who is clutch, shooters that can get hot in a hurry, and they have been on a roll.
Oh yeah, on more thing, our arena will be like 1/3 Knicks fans AT LEAST.

Re: Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?
You can have your own views on certain things man. But I'm just going to say one more thing. If Wade and LeBron turn it up just like they've done all their career, I don't see anyone stopping them unless someone under performs big time. :confusedshrug:

Not for the Playoffs. Heat fans always show up for the Playoffs.

knicks will have a shot if they make amare the 1st option coz hes more efficient than melo.
-
Re: Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?
Sure, Knicks have a chance. They won't actually beat the Heat though.

The question is if they will stop themselves. Remember, last year heat had the Big 3 do their thing, plus role players he did their job. This year, its been Big 3 or bust since ASG. If role-players don't contribute, you're gonna have a tough time this year.

That's all I'm saying. Personally, I think the Heat will grab it too. But I don't know why some think its gonna be a cakewalk or something. I can realistically see Miami slip up, and NY stealing it.

Teams will start playing defense and putting people on deck unlike in regular season where they just let lebron/wade stylin on you. Thats why heat lost to mavs which has a great frontcourt and they could have lost too against boston if they didnt trade their enforcer. Unless lebron knows how to score against a top frontcourt in the playoffs and have a center, miami isnt winning a ring.

Re: Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?
If knicks beat the heat, the bulls will win the championship.
If not, the heat will.
Regardless, hopefully the knicks and heat make this a good, long 7 game series. It would be one of the best series to watch imo.

News flash, know-one is beating Heat in the
Playoffs..

Re: Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?
The 76ers have a better shot in beating Bulls 4 times out of 7, than the Knicks do in beating the Heat 4 times out of 7.

THANK YOU. It's crazy how people are saying this Knicks team can beat the Heat TWICE or even THREE times. :facepalm
-
Re: Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?
That's actually a Lebron I'd take the challenge against. Decent production, but not fear worthy.
Definately, but if he ups his averages like he has every single year in the playoffs we could be looking at 31/10/7 which is a much bigger challenge. I will say this though, the Knicks more than any other team have a "push card" with LeBron offensively. The biggest thing with the Knicks is outside of Amare and Melo who is going to get you points? Chandler is going to get you around 10 a game, Melo and Amare will combine for around 45 a game, that leaves 45 points for the rest of the team to get (the rule of 100).
For the Heat we are looking at Wade/LeBron/Bosh combining for around 70 + leaving them needing 30 or less from the rest. Plus the Heat have three players that could at any time explode, while the Knicks only have two.
It is almost too bad that the Heat couldn't borrow some of the Knicks role players after they beat them. If the Heat lose it will be because of the bench, but the Knicks have some good players on their bench. Oh well 4 game series imo, but if the Knicks win I will be very happy.

Are you guys serious? The Sixers have been in a free fall, and meanwhile, the Knicks have been pretty damn good under Woodson. Melo has been on fire, they've beaten good teams.
They are a dangerous team, one of the more dangerous lower seeds in recent memory imo (definitely in the East). No one is saying it's likely they'll win, but to act like they can't even make the Heat break a sweat is ignorant.

It's really funny how they are defending an Eastern Conference opponent, who the Bulls had a RIVALRY with. It's really weird actually. :(

Re: Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?
For the Knicks to remotely have a chance against the Heat:
1) Cut down on turnovers
2) Amare/Tyson/Melo needs to dominate the inside, offensively and defensively
3) Out-board the Heat
If they start running and gunning with the Heat, while it maybe fun to watch, they will get kill. Slow the game down, Melo and Amare needs to work the post game and Chandler needs to get away from foul trouble and provide the dominate inside presence defensively.
I think the Knicks can get their points against the Heat, the problem is can they prevent the Heat to go on strings of 10-0, 16-4, etc. runs during the game? Can they prevent Lebron from scoring 10-15 points in a row in the 3rd and 4th quarter?
Amare needs to dominate Bosh, and you will need Shumpert, Novak, and even Davis to provide offensive sparks in case Melo is in a shooting funk.
A lot to ask, but its not impossible. Key thing is, if the games are close, can the Knicks get the defensive stops, and give Melo a chance to be the clutch performer that many people expect out of him.
Stop him in the 4th? That's not hard. Lol

I wouldnt bet on the Knicks winning a series against the Bulls/Heat, but I will say, that I think the naysayers will be in for a surprise come playoff time....especially to those thinking this is the Dantoni no-defense team that likely would've been outta the playoffs had Woody not taken over.

Current Knicks don't match up well against the Current Heat.
