I give your trolling a 6.5/10, you had me going at first
Where did I troll son ? I didn't make ONE comparison between Kobe and MJ. Not ONE. Just talked about the milestone that will be cracked this post-season.
Like it or not Kobe will pass MJ for most playoff points.
I can't believe the racist pigs who called KAJ a raghead son of allah.
You guys are despicable.
Muslims are second-rate ? :biggums:
Wow...that was an elite level deflection. Crazy.
U jelly ?
U jelly ?
Me? Naw.
How bout you? You peanut butter?
WHat's that ?
correction: Kobe currently has 5,436 playoff points
correction: Kobe currently has 5,436 playoff points
I posted the links where I got my stats dude.
I posted the links where I got my stats dude.
Yes I know, but you posted that he has 5,393. He scored 43 yesterday. So he currently has 5,436, not 5,393.
I don't know if Basket-ball reference is up to date or not. I edited my initial post to take in account what you said.

It's not according to me. It's according to the link you posted :D
Michael Jordan:
179 playoff games
5943 points on 33.4 ppg @ 49% FG average
highest - 43.7 ppg
lowest - 29.3 ppg
Kobe Bryant:
213 playoff games
5436 points on 25.5 ppg @ 45% FG average
highest - 32.8 ppg
lowest - 8.2 ppg, as a starter 19.8 ppg
When Kobe played equal amount of playoff games as Jordan (179 games) he had only 4381 points to Jordans 5943...
Jordan needed only ~120 games compared to Kobes 179 get 4381 points...
Jordan needed only ~160 games compared to Kobes 213 to get Kobes current 5436 points...
Kobe needs 23+ more playoff games at his current scoring rate to match Jordans 5943 points and considering Kobe has played an average of 7 games these past two seasons in the playoffs it will take him an estimated 3-4 years (when he is 36-37 years old) to match Jordans career playoff points...
Just saying....
A longevity record for Kobe, thats all, which will probably be destroyed by Lebron & Durant anyways....
I know its fun as a Kobe fan to compare him to Jordan.... but i hope you understand that Jordan was just on a whole different level....
lol no
Jordan's first playoffs were when he was 21. Kobe's was when he was 18.
Jordan's playoff total from age 21-32: 4,717
Kobe's playoff total from age 21-32: 4,952
Oh they updated it. Damn. Now they ruined my calc. I'm going to have to redo them all.

Jordan jockers :facepalm
I was just saying when you compare the ages, they aint that far off. It wasn't until Kobe was 21 until he was developed, his stats before that lower his averages.
To all Jordan stans. I, in no way, endorse this sterile fight as we all know within us who the best player is. So cease this ******ry.
Yeah, shattered with far less efficiency on more volume. :oldlol:
far less efficiency?
Jordan - .503 eFG%
Kobe - .481 eFG%
so "far less"
more volume?
Jordan has taken more FGA than Kobe, despite playing 34 less games

Kobe has already taken 100+ shots this series alone. He needs exactly 165 more FGA to tie Jordan.
In the playoffs:
Jordan - 49%FG / 57%TS / 50%eFG - 33 ppg
Kobe - 45%FG / 54%TS / 48%eFG - 26 ppg
It's not even close. :oldlol:
Some of you guys in this thread... :facepalm

25.1 FGA average in the Playoffs
20.3 FGA average for Kobe
50 eFG% for MJ, 48 eFG% for Kobe. Not that far away in efficiency.

What does it say when Kobe's career PPG average is 7 less than Jordan's yet he is nearly equal in points with WORSE efficiency (that's still dropping)?
:oldlol:
That the league has become way better. Now stop polluting my thread.
If Jordan came out of high school AND didn't have his 2 year absence, he would shatter every offensive record and no one would be touching his scoring records.
Sucks Kobe can beat him in an unfair way.
That's named Uchrony swi7ch. That's not a logical argument. It's the contrary actually. Don't be a foul.
That the league has become way better. Now stop polluting my thread.
Right, well, when Jordan was winning championships your boy couldn't crack the Lakers starting lineup.
I'll be on my way though...

It should be noted that you bring up Jordan in something and say Kobe will surpass it, it will automatically mean a "debate".
It happens a lot on this site.

And at that same age Jordan wasn't good enough to be on a NBA roster

Dude, is it my fault there is Jordan's name there ? And that another player ihas the possibility to pass his record ? Is that my freaking fault ? Seriously ?
Funny how his playoff scoring average isn't even close to being broken, however. Gotta love how Kobe fans always harp on longevity-based numbers rather than actual impact numbers. :oldlol:

Dude, go spout your drivel of hate elsewhere. THat's not the topic of the thread. I'd like you to delete this drivel of hate.

That may have to do with Kobe struggling far more often, with far more 40% FG series. I like how people always say....look how many more FGA he has than Kobe...huge difference and prime example was last night....Jordan didn't shoot his team into not wanting to play, because he shot 50% more than not(early on Jordan did)...Bynum quit and was pissed, watching Kome jack 32 shots, last night.....people act like Kobe doesn't shoot as much as MJ, because "he isn't as selfish" He doesn't because he's less efficient and it will hurt his team far more. Jordan shot far more within the realm of the offense, while Kome plays one on one far more
.Bynum quit and was pissed, watching Kome jack 32 shots, last night.....
Yeah.. you didn't watch the game last night

eFG% is bullshit
TS% is a much better indicator of shooting efficeincy
