Re: The Death Of Real Basketball - Euroleague Changing To NBA Rules
is this for just Euroleague, or will all other competitions (FIBA Zonal tournaments, individual national leagues) all be changing?
Just Euroleague. FIBA has no say in the Euroleague's rules. Although most of the European national leagues will probably follow what the Euroleague does. But each national league has its own idea of how to ref the games.

Re: The Death Of Real Basketball - Euroleague Changing To NBA Rules
good news at least now they can be a farm system like a minor league. now they cant hide guys who cant guard a lick like spanoulis and navarro.

Re: The Death Of Real Basketball - Euroleague Changing To NBA Rules
From France and I'd be on suicide watch if I was stuck with Euroleague basketball.

Right, because Spanoulis is better on defense than almost every point guard in the NBA.
So that sure makes sense............

The fact that French teams are almost every year the worst teams in Euroleague might have something to do with that. The French League sucks.

Re: The Death Of Real Basketball - Euroleague Changing To NBA Rules
Most kids in Europe do want to play in Euroleague and don't give much of a damn about the NBA.
The NBA is barely even ever on TV in Europe.
Insofar as basketball is followed in Europe, and there are different sports over here with "soccer" (football) being the largest, NBA is clearly recognised as the the big league.
In Britain (admittedly an English speaking state) people don't care about the national leagues or the Euroleague they care about the NBA, and Slam is available in reasonable sized newsagents.

In Britain people don't even know what a basketball looks like. You are an idiot.
News flash mate, the opinions of Brits does not equal Europe's opinion.
You are obviously smoking crack.

Yeah that is the reason Spanoulis can not get playing time over fringe defenders like Skip and Luther Head.

Hey man, I don't know anything about this except for what I read in the link I posted earlier.
Sounds like they're going to ease up a little traveling rules for one.
What are you playing next year?

And he was Canadian. So "we (Americans) invented the game" is a lie.
Just like he lied when he claimed that NBA rules existed before FIBA did.

Yeah, they have to make it easy to score, just like the NBA. Heaven forbid that guys with no skills actually get exposed.

Re: The Death Of Real Basketball - Euroleague Changing To NBA Rules
Great move for the Euroleague. Now as those players develop, it'll be easier to see how their game will be when they eventually get promoted to where they all really wanna be: the NBA.

Re: The Death Of Real Basketball - Euroleague Changing To NBA Rules
then why do they say, Current Euroleague is HARDER and MORE PHYSICAL than current, garbage, diluted, 3 pointers jocking NBA League?
Didnt Luka and Jokic said, winning Euro games are much harder recently.

Re: The Death Of Real Basketball - Euroleague Changing To NBA Rules
I forgot about OP. Dude had an obsession with a particular European player and would make fake statements on how he was about to sign to an NBA team.
