Yes, but lazy Shaq is still better than hard working Dwight.

He's just trolling. Nobody actually thinks that.

If so
Dwight>Bynum>>>Lebron>>>Kobe

Scored 30 ppg in the playoffs with a 44fg%.
RWB 23,5 43%
Carmelo 28 42%
Harden 16 44%
Kevin Love haven't even played a playoff game in what 4 years?

Didn't say otherwise.

Those player's do other things though.
At this stage in his career, Kobe is basically Melo without the rebounding and less post game.

Melo isn't as good of a passer/playmaker and only averaged .7 more boards. Try again! Lol at "doing other things" as a reason for Melo being better.
I don't like using the words best or better because people all have their own idea of what that means.
Kobe's a better leader, he has more experience, a more complete arsenal of offensive moves. He'll get you between 25 and 30 points a night, 5 assist, 5 rebounds. Insane heart, desire and work ethic. Warrior, he's durable and will play through almost any injury. He still plays pretty good defense too.
Howard at this stage of his career is more dominant because of his size and athleticism. Huge difference maker on defense. Great rebounder. He'll get you an efficient 20 points per game. Doesn't get a lot of assists. Not a great leader. Pretty durable until recently.
Overall, Kobe is better on the offensive side of the ball and Dwight is better on defense. I'm glad LA has them both so I really don't have to choose one or the other. lol. If they win it all lets see who is finals MVP before declaring Howard better than Kobe.

Melo averaged 4 more rebounds in the 2011-2012 season, not .7.
Timberwolves are the team I follow the most in the league and Kevin Love is in no way or form near Kobe or any other Superstar.
He's a 15/13/5 guy that plays 0 defense in a functional team that wants to compete for a championship.
They need to start posting Pek more to end this madness.
Also lol at Melo has more of a post game than Kobe and lol at doing other things....what are you smoking?
Melo averaged 4 more rebounds in the 2011-2012 season, not .7.
Melo - 6.3
Kobe - 5.4
.9 actually

Now you're just reaching, Kobe can still play good D, rebound 5 a night give you 5 assists a night.
With Nash in town he'll finally get to play SG and not a combo guard.
My guess is that this year he'll average 25/5/4 on around 45-6% shooting, but hey, going in to his 17th season and still being arguable for top five just shows how great Kobe is.
While players like AI, VC, TMac, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen who all came in the same year or after him isn't even all stars anymore (except PP) he is still one of the best.
Melo averaged 4 more rebounds in the 2011-2012 season, not .7.
If DWade ain't better than Kobe, then neither is Melo.
1) Bron
2) Durant
3) Dwight
4) Chris Paul
5) Kobe

This is the only list that right, although i'd put kobe over cp3, depending on the day,
And NumberSix no one takes you seriously, since you're known as one of the biggest kobe haters on here anyway.

I personally believe that Wade is currently a better player than Kobe, but there's no proof of that. All we can judge is recent performance, and Wade didn't have a great season last year. He wasn't healthy, but we can't go by hypothetical "if he was healthy" scenarios.

Carmelo Anthony did not average 8.2 rebounds last year.
basketball-reference.com has him at 6.3.

Playoffs
Kobe is not the best player now, but he is the leader, the heart of the Lakers. It's his team, at least for now.

Yes, I understand the sample size.
I'm not saying Carmelo is definitively the better player. I'm just saying it's my opinion that I don't think Kobe will be the better player his 17th season in the league.
I believe Melo is in his prime years and Kobe is at least 3 or 4 years past his.
Marshmelo Anthony does do "other things" that Kobe doesn't do.
Like losing in the first round almost every year. lol

Oh my god the stupidness in your post ceases to amaze me.
First of all Carmelo played against the Heat with no good rebounder, second of all I used the playoff to show you Kobe could still can score efficiently on a high volume. Thirdly Carmelo only played 5 games so it wes unfair of me to use him but he has had even worse efficiency in previous years.
Kobe played twelve games so that's at least enough games. JH and RWB both played 20 games that's like a third of this years regular season so their stats also do them justice.
And even if he had more rebounds Kobe still was the better player.
:biggums:
The stats you just posted is what we've been discussing this whole time. the 2011-2012 season PLAYOFFS.

Can't disagree with you there. But so far Kobe past his prime has appeared to be better than most players in their prime. Things could change this year but I doubt it.

I didn't bring up Kobe and Melo's playoff stats. I didn't initiate this line of discussion. I'm just answering what was initially presented.
Yet melo is better? Even lin lead the team better than melo...
Again, I didn't bring this up. I'm just answering what is being said. I never initiated comparing last year's layoff stats.

So Kobe's playoff stats and RS stats is better, on top of that he is a better defender, playmaker etc. but still you think Melo is better than him?
naw he's not
Dwight Howard is clearly the best player on the Lakers.
