Re: ESPN Insider Western Conference predictions
Denver and Minnesota will be good this year, but no way either of those teams make it into the top 4. I see Minny 7th And Denver 6th.
And why the f*ck is everyone underrating Memphis. They are easily a top 5 team in the West.
If I was to make my own list, it would go something like:
1) OKC
2) LAL
3) SAS
4) LAC
5) MEM
6) DEN
7) MIN
8) DAL
Re: ESPN Insider Western Conference predictions
Let's be real. Lakers are going to wipe the floor with the rest of the conference.
This writer is smoking that dope. Nuggets and Wolves are way too high, Spurs continue to be disrespected and Phoenix is no shape or form will be the worst team in the West. That honour will go to the Rockets who have a bunch of rookies and back ups playing for them.

Wolves over the Spurs and Clippers = Fail

Re: ESPN Insider Western Conference predictions
I don't think people realize that outside of the 98 lockout year where they played 50 games, the spurs haven't had a single season in which they won less than 50 games in the Duncan era, not even last season in which it was a 68 game season
Clippers @ 6? LOL
not even a clippers fan (sure you know), but ya, #6 is perplexing to me. they're #5 at worst and very likely top 4. that said, it doesn't help that cp3 got hurt and will miss most of training camp. with blake on the mend, i thought they would really take a leap forward with their chemistry and PNR game. they're still going to take a step forward but i'm not sure they'll be the best PNR duo i thought they'd be next season.
i'm interested in seeing how memphis does because i really was not that impressed with gay's playoff games. the way he ran fast breaks, the way he tried to finish in traffic without success and just his overall decision making in general was...pretty bad.
denver is still in around 5/6 to me. i like what they have going on but gallo needs to stay healthy. they have depth which obviously keeps them in ball games and a decent size advantage over most teams. guys like chandler need to be more consistent...that way they hit you in waves. no real drop off and multiple ways to hurt you. i could see them making a run similar to memphis from a couple seasons ago.
Re: ESPN Insider Western Conference predictions
I think Denver will be really good next season they are a sexy pick but number 3 in the conference?
Minny is way to high I have them fighting for a 7 or 8 spot.
You can never count out the Spurs I got them 1 to 5.
Clippers are no worst then 5 but can drop pending CP3 injury.
Lakers can have growing pains number 2 makes sense.
And OKC at the top spot is just right...unless the Lakers just gel from the start and live up and beyond the hype.
Re: ESPN Insider Western Conference predictions
The suns have Draic, Dudey, Scola, Beasely, Gortat and etc, etc. noway they are the worst team in the west. Right now my Rockets hold that honor sadly.

I agree they got decent bigs and the Rockets do not.
Re: ESPN Insider Western Conference predictions
Of course ESPN gonna hype up the only white dominated team :lol
Re: ESPN Insider Western Conference predictions
Jeez as a Wolves fan I think this list is garbage. I think we will be somewhere between 6-8 and that is if Rubio plays the majority of the year.
Why are the Suns so low? They have some good players and I think they will be around 10-12.
Lakers as the 7th best offense? Who's offense is better than Nash, Kobe, MWP/Jamison, Gasol and Dwight?
