Great thread Legends.
George Hill makes a 3 pointer to tie the game with 3.8 seconds left; 94-94 Pacers vs T-Wolves.
Chase Budinger makes a layup (Andrei Kirilenko assists) with 0.8 seconds left; 96-94 win Pacers vs T-Wolves. A collapse on that Pacers defense and Chase made a great cut to the basket. Good find by AK.
George Hill is the first player this season to make a Game Winning and a Game Tying shot in 24 seconds or under.
Pacers are broken and I don't know how to fix them.
Ramon Sessions makes a game tying layup with 2.8 seconds left. 91-91 Bobcats vs Mavericks. Game goes to OT.

Craziest sequence ever!

Yeah, I can't wait to get the video on that.
:oldlol:
Danilo Gallinari dunks (Andre Miller assists) with 2.1 seconds left to tie the game. 94-94 Nuggets vs Warriors.
Nice steal by Iggy to prevent the shot from Landry.

Iggy and Galo going ham, Legends. An update is in order.
Warriors
Al-Jefferson with a game tying 24-foot 3-pointer (Randy Foye assists) with 2.2 seconds left. 104-104 Jazz vs Raptors.
Are you fucking kidding me.
:facepalm
Good block by Favors too on Ross.
Take no chances.
You were right initially Legends, that Iggy shot is considered a "game winner" by the criteria used on most sites, and the same one's people use to tabulate the totals of star players like Kobe and Lebron. It's just a technicality to call it a clutch shot since the opposing team scored afterwards.
DeMar and Jefferson going HAM in this game.

Ah, I knew it.
Thanks for the clarifying that.
DeMar DeRozan makes a dunk (Jose Calderon assits) to take the lead. 115-113 Raptors vs Jazz.
Al-Jefferson makes 12-foot two point shot to tie the game. 115-115 Jazz vs Raptors. Goes to Double OT.
John Lucas makes 24-foot game tying three point jumper (Andrea Bargnani assists). 125-125 Raptors vs Jazz.
Insane !
Not a shot but Millsap had 16 of his 32 points in 3 OT's.
That's extra clutch. :pimp:

Yeah, 82 games will cover those clutch stats better.
Amazing game for him.
make that 18 overtime(3OT) points for PM.
LeBron James make a layup with 18.6 seconds remaining to take the lead. 111-110 Heat vs Rockets.
EDIT - It is a GW.
Will update later.
Danny Green hit a gamewinning 3PT shot with 9.3 sec to go against Lakers last night (assist Keith Leonard), Spurs win vs Lakers 84-82.

Welcome to the list, Kemba Walker.
Welcome to the list, Kemba Walker.
 Cardiac Kemba. Dude is super clutch. Remember those shots against Pitt and UConn. I may be wrong, but I think he's had a game winner against the Hawks.
Just out of interest, why is Lebron's a game winner? Another shot was made afterwards. I don't think that has ever been counted as a game winner.
Air went outta the room when Kemba hit that one against the Wolves tonight

Which shot ?

P.J. Tucker with a game tying lay up with 9.4 seconds remaining. 100-100 Suns vs Bulls. Game goes to OT.
Marcus Morris makes a game tying 28-foot three pointer (James Harden Assits) with 10.9 seconds remaining. 111-111 Rockets vs Trailblazers. Game goes to OT.

That was a good one..
Al-Farouq Aminu makes 16-foot game tying shot (Ryan Anderson assists). 99-99 Hornets vs Pacers. Game goes to OT.
Korver with a 3 to put the Hawks up 1 against the Wizards in overtime. 1.9 left in the game.
Lebron made a gametying shot to send it to OT with 98-98... but yea, 2 seconds to early for your criteria...

^ 3 different shots right there.

Well, technically, I did not make that criteria. It was just I read from other analysts using it.
I do think I should try an expand the list, perhaps to 2 minutes and less, for situations like LeBron and Tony Parker earlier in the year. I know 82 games will do better job too.

Yea, if the other team doesnt respond to your gametying/to take the lead shot and if your team doesnt score anything more aswell it should count as a gametying/gamewinning shot... but ofcourse to do it with under 24 sec is i guess considered more "clutchesque"
Ray Allen 3 pointer (LeBron James assists) with 18.2 seconds left. 109-108 Win Heat vs Cavs.
Ray Allen takes the lead in GW shots. LeBron James takes the lead in GW assists.

Wasn't the traditional definition of a gamewinning shot, the actual last shot in a game?
Its not strictly a game winning shot. Its just as important, since we don't give up the lead from there, but a free throw was made after.
Game winning block Wade? :confusedshrug:
EDIT: To late, what Legends said

I've never heard or read that actually being the traditional definition, but I wouldn't disagree with that. I've read that if it's 24 seconds or less, it's game winning, but I also consider shots made before that timeline (and if a team does not tie) as just as much a game winner.
The fact that the Cavs did not tie the game and the Allen made the shot at the 18.2 second mark makes it more than a valid game winner.
The free throw Allen made just adds to the lead itself. It doesn't take away that he also made a game winner and the Cavs didn't tie.

I've considered adding defensive plays to the list, but I don't know how many of them have been out there this season so far.
I've considered adding defensive plays to the list, but I don't know how many of them have been out there this season so far.
Yea, that is just to rare...
Plus you can have a gamewinning rebound, steal, forced turnover, shut down defense etc... :P
