I love it when a player gets a quadruple nickle.
That's how you know the impacted the game in every way possible.

I agree, but he also had 6 turnovers and wasn't efficient from the field (went 19-21 ! from the line, though). Those are the only negatives I see, from an otherwise solid game.

It was a really strange game or Durant. It was one of those games you knew he was there but, for a lot of it, it just seemed like that's all it was. Not saying he completely disappeared or anything, because he was missing a lot of shots he normally makes and was active on defense, but it didn't seem like he was having a good game. Then you look at the boxscore and see 36 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and don't now how he did it.
Obviously he shot a ton of FT's (some were definitely via a "superstar" call) but it still felt like he had a quiet game. I guess it just speaks to how good he is when he can have a "quiet" 35-6-5-5.

This is how I feel every time I watch Durant play. I thought he got over it in the Spurs series where he closed out some games (not game winners but literally taking them over).
But Yea.
It's like you're watching the game and you swear you're not seeing anything particularly special and he has 35 points, 8 rebounds.
Never fails to amaze me.
Think he's the most talented scorer the game has ever seen.
Kevin Durant

37pts/8reb/5ast (2TOs) 4stl
Game goes to OT.

Westbrook as well
Durant one steal and two blocks off of having a 30-5-5-5-5 night.
Still, 37 pts, 8 reb, 5 ast, 4 stl, 3 blk is pretty beastly.
And yeah, Russ had 30 pts, 9 ast, 5 reb, and just 2 turnovers. Durant only had 2 turnovers, also.

Ibaka's looked insane so far

Yeah, I want to start a thread about where he ranks among NBA PF's right now, but I want to see him sustain it for another 20-25 games.
He's been legit through 14 games, though.

if you count KG and Duncan as centers, he's definitely top 3 IMO
btw OP, add LeBron as well
Bron Bron with 30/6/5.
Throw in Durants recent OT thriller 37-8-5 aswell
Tony Parker (11/25/2012) in Toronto:
32 on 14-27, 6 boards, 5 dimes (also had a steal and 4 TOs) in double overtime.
Parker and Duncan almost both doing it in the same game
Parker: 32 pts, 5 ast, 6 reb
Duncan: 26 pts, 6 ast, 5 reb
can Kobe average 30/5/5 without any 30/5/5 game?
he got 27/5/5 on 51%/42%/88% but not even one 30/5/5 game:confusedshrug:
Updated.
Some notes:
- It's surprising how many players miss making the cut by single stat. Bargnani, Parsons, Harden, and a few others have missed out by a single rebound/steal/assist
- Kevin Durant has the only 30-5-5-5 game so far this season and came close again a few nights later missing out by a single steal.
- Durant and Westbrook are the only teammates to get 30-5-5 it in the same game.
Kobe with the asterisk *triple-double (40 points - 10 rebounds - 10 turnovers ) :lol

i felt bad for him watching that game. raps are terrible but he's been playing like an all star.

Makes me wonder how wonderfully incredible a Harden+Lowry backcourt could have been :(
Updated.
6 points guards have had 30-5-5 games so far.
Kobe Bryant
30,016 pts
5,511 assists
6,243 rebounds
Probably one of the most remarkable 30/5/5

Don't know if you know this or not, but the NBA - in its current state and it's history - doesn't revolve around Kobe.
Oh well... Lebron 31-10-9
Joakim Noah

30 (10-24; 5-11 3pt)/10reb/6ast (5TOs) 1stl 1blk
But scoring 30+ is a bad thing for Bryant's Lakers, so this isn't a good addition.
:oldlol:
Timmy and BJennings tonight both pulled it off (Duncan's is the second 30-5-5-5 this year)
And Duncan had a 4x5 night.
31 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 rebounds. It's just ridiculous what he's doing this year at his age.
Kobe Bryant
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400278084
30 (11-24; 2-5 3pt)/7ast/6reb/1stl/1blk (2 TOs)
Extends his 30+ point game streak to 7 games.
Paul Pierce

40 - 8 - 5 / 13-for-16 FG, 6-for-7 from 3's, 8/8 from freebies
also 3 stls and 1 blk. only 1 TO.
Durant 33 points 7 rebounds 6 assists
Westbrook 30 points 11 rebounds 9 assists
