and the typical "many doctors and lawyers are stoners!"
if you were having heart surgery done would you want your surgeon showing up blazed fresh off a blunt???
if you were on trial for murder would you want your lawyer defending you after a few bong rips???
FCK NO!!! :oldlol:
give me the sober doctor and lawyer please...
They can smoke weed without being high at work lol. I'd be no more concerned about a doctor being high during surgery than I would about them being drunk.
They can smoke weed without being high at work lol. I'd be no more concerned about a doctor being high during surgery than I would about them being drunk.
Agreed. Some of the logic in this thread is severely flawed.
Lol its not like all I do is sit on my ass looking ****ed out of my mind. And yeah weed makes me high but being high doesn't affect or slow me down from doing anything. And yeah, I am smart...not sure why that's so funny. Very good math skills, critical thinking, good social skills...all while I smoke weed. I've only smoked for about the past 3 years but it has never stopped me or slowed me down from accomplishing whatever. And I manage a local business at the moment. still in college right now.
there is no way you can know that...maybe you would be much smarter right now had you never touched it...you don't know
how can you make that claim?...you can see the alternate reality you that never smoked?...cool trick, teach me how to see the alternate reality me that picked the right loto numbers
They can smoke weed without being high at work lol. I'd be no more concerned about a doctor being high during surgery than I would about them being drunk.
I'm just saying, I'll take the doctor/lawyer that doesn't blaze...you can have the one that takes bong rips when he gets off work
and obviously I wouldn't want a drunk one either lol
I'm just saying, I'll take the doctor/lawyer that doesn't blaze...you can have the one that takes bong rips when he gets off work

Yeah, but is one that hits a bong after work sometimes really worse than one that goes to the bar and gets drunk to relax on the weekends? I just don't see how one is totally ok and legal while the other will make you an incompetent worker.
Second time was more intense and it felt like my blood vessels were about to burst. I felt like I was going to die lol. For some reason, dancing like Michael Jackson helped null this strange feeling.

That's funny! When I used to get on that level I would have to freestyle or dance or something in order to get myself away from all those negative thoughts. Otherwise, it's all bad.
Yeah, but is one that hits a bong after work sometimes really worse than one that goes to the bar and gets drunk to relax on the weekends? I just don't see how one is totally ok and legal while the other will make you an incompetent worker.
No and obviously pot is no worse than any drug if you use it responsibly.
For the record I'm pro legalization of all drugs.
Just that I don't know that many high functioning pot heads that make 6 figures a year. Do know quite a few working minimum wage jobs.
Yeah, but is one that hits a bong after work sometimes really worse than one that goes to the bar and gets drunk to relax on the weekends? I just don't see how one is totally ok and legal while the other will make you an incompetent worker.
being a drunk is 100% worse...no question...not trying to defend booz, hell no
I am just shooting down the idea that being a pot head is "good" for a worker...no one wants a pot head for a doctor or lawyer
With dumb bitches falling for addictions like pot/booze/ ect.. I hop they never introduce flying cars I wouldn't feel safe in my own house :lol

Well, using your same logic, how can you say you wouldn't be smarter had.you smoked more weed? Its an unknown. Can you see the alternate ****ing reality if you had smoked? No. What is known is that I am more interested and eager for knowledge when I am high. So yeah, I might be smarter having not smoked, but smoking could have helped increase and diversify my knowledge. The world is full of unknowns.

same...I am in my 30s
all my friends that still get blazed every day?...those aren't the doctors and lawyers, those are the ones still living with mommy.

That has nothing to do with the pot. That's them being ****ing lazy. If you're not responsible enough to smoke then have some willpower and get a real job. its not that hard. Just an excuse for them to be even more lazy.
Never smoked weed or put a cigarette in my mouth in my life
there is no way you can know that...maybe you would be much smarter right now had you never touched it...you don't know

besides the fact I that I become a giggling paranoid moron when I am blazed there is no scientific evidence that shows it increases intelligence...there is some that shows it can decrease intelligence though
tried it. Don't do it now but nothing against it.

oh you know this for fact?...pot doesn't contribute to anyone being lazy?...it's just a huge coincidence most lazy people also happen to smoke pot all day...
:lol
besides the fact I that I become a giggling paranoid moron when I am blazed there is no scientific evidence that shows it increases intelligence...there is some that shows it can decrease intelligence though
Well I don't become anything close to a giggling paranoid moron when I'm high. Ever think maybe substances effect people differently?
Well I don't become anything close to a giggling paranoid moron when I'm high. Ever think maybe substances effect people differently?
sure, but neither of us know what you would be like had you never smoked...so to claim that it hasn't affected you in a negative way is impossible
sure, but neither of us know what you would be like had you never smoked...so to claim that it hasn't affected you in a negative way is impossible
That makes no sense. you claiming not smoking hasn't affected you in a negative way is impossible as well, using your own logic.
Okay uninformed retard. :lol
I smoke at least once a day, normally when I get home from work. Just like everything else on this beautiful planet, moderation is the key to happiness. There is nothing wrong with being a responsible smoker that has his/her priorities in order and don't let Big Brother tell you otherwise.
Came in here to basically post this. A little weed never hurt anybody. Smoking all day everyday, like a guy I know, can ruin someone's life. But the same can be said about alcohol, *********ion, tanning, anything really. I used to smoke pretty much everyday, but then I cut back because I needed to refocus. I rarely do now, every once in a blue moon when I'm out or when I'm about to catch some shitty flick.
That makes no sense. you claiming not smoking hasn't affected you in a negative way is impossible as well, using your own logic.
is there any scientific evidence that suggests that NOT SMOKING has a negative impact?
pot heads :facepalm
:lol
A weed thread with primetime...always makes for a good time.

You just don't get it huh?Either way is an unknown. There's no way to prove anything one way or another.
You just don't get it huh?Either way is an unknown. There's no way to prove anything one way or another.
no guy...it's a given that NOT SMOKING won't have a negative impact on me
it is not a given that smoking every day won't though...
I mean do you actually think that smoking everyday increases your intelligence?...I guess there is no proof that it doesn't...so maybe the more you smoke the smarter you get right?

Have fun with the booze and making it rain at strip clubs.
Have fun with the booze and making it rain at strip clubs.
maybe it makes me smarter!
:confusedshrug:
no guy...it's a given that NOT SMOKING won't have a negative impact on me
Nope
I do not drink or smoke. Neither has interested me at any point.
I do not drink or smoke. Neither has interested me at any point.
so you never tried drinking at some point in your life? you dont see many people like that these days
Asking the people of Insidehoops whether they smoke weed is like asking a frog if it's ever hopped on land.
It's only a matter of time till a tadpole yearns for something dry.
so you never tried drinking at some point in your life? you dont see many people like that these days
I haven't. It's not as uncommon as folks think. Well, I guess not trying is at least a little uncommon. But I know a lot of folks who gave drinking a shot and just decided it wasn't going to be something for them. Throughout time it's always seemed like something where people who do drink or smoke tend to draw more attention than those who don't, so sometimes it begins to feel everyone must be doing it. I mean, if a person doesn't do either, there's probably not a lot for them to say on the topic. I don't really come into work after the weekend bragging about how much I didn't get drink and/or get wasted, so those who don't tend to get lost in the shuffle sometimes.
no guy...it's a given that NOT SMOKING won't have a negative impact on me
Maybe if you smoked you would be more of a homebody and wouldn't be a semi-alcoholic wasting hundreds/thousands of dollars at the strip club.
So, yeah, there's that.
Maybe if you smoked you would be more of a homebody and wouldn't be a semi-alcoholic wasting hundreds/thousands of dollars at the strip club.

because I wouldn't have that money to waste...but decent point maybe
smoking weed never stopped me from drinking though, it never took it's place...made me drink more if anything I think, those two (booz and pot) always went together along with tobacco
I'm clean of all of it now though...
also, to be clear
ranked in order of how bad it is for you:
1. alcohol
2. tobacco
3. pot
just in case anyone is confused by my posts, I think booz and tobacco are much worse than pot, not even close really...but I do think pot is "bad"...and can even ruin your life, it just does it in a different way...it won't literally kill you like booz and tobacco do, it can just turn you into a worthless bum which is bad but not as bad as death.
alcohol worse than cigarettes???????
Alcohol probably is worse than cigarettes. Alcohol can lead to violent behavior and killing yourself where as cigarettes you are just slowly killing yourself and only yourself.
Yes alcohol is worse than tobacco...
alcohol kills thousands of people every year...THAT DON'T DRINK!
it rips families apart...it is involved in 90% of domestic violence, etc etc etc
tobacco ALSO kills people that don't smoke, but at least those are people that work in bars and are around it 24/7 and probably have an idea that it is coming...unlike a drunk driver that swerves into you out of no where.
smoked it nearly every day when i was around 20. dropped outta college and regret THAT every day. learn from my story, young ones.

regret smoking weed or regret dropping out of college? or are you saying weed made you drop out?
