I'm ashamed to list my favorite movies. Everyone will just laugh at me. But honestly, Titanic is my favorite movie of all time.

Wow, you nailed it with your first sentence.
My Top 25 favorite films would just be an absolute mess. Even coming up with a solid 15 is a stretch for me. Being a good movie is only a part of what makes up a favorite for me. Sometimes movies that just remind me of things I've experienced in real life (or of eras I've lived) is enough to find its way onto my list of faves. For some, remembering where I was or who I was with when I first watched it is enough.
My current favorites (aka films I own I'm mostly likely to pull out and re-watch tonight, off the top of my head):
1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
2. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
3. Crash
4. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
5. Garden State
6. Before Sunrise
7. Back to the Future Trilogy
8. The Social Network
9. There Will Be Blood
10. Sideways
11. The Shawshank Redemption
12. Snatch
13. Gangs of New York
14. Airplane
15. Office Space
There's quite a few classics that I haven't been able to ever really get into and appreciate that more or less disqualifies my opinions on movies in general. Namely, I'm not a big fan of The Godfather series. To be clear, that doesn't mean I think it's a bad series and that I have many criticisms for them, they just weren't my cup of tea.

Or I actually have the ability to like movies outside of the IMDB top 250.

IMBD has nothing to do with my list. Any similarities are merely coincidence.
Bad Boys 2 is clearly superior to the original.
:biggums:
It's funnier, better action, doesn't have that awful husky voice bitch.
The action in the first one was>>>>>>>
You're just saying crazy things now.
The second one was funnier but the impact the first one had on me was immense. I definitely liked insane airport hangar/drag race scenes better than the whole cuba thing.
Those 4 need to get more love.. particularly Chinatown.. :applause:
More love? Those are 4 highly acclaimed movies that get tons and tons of love.
Didn't put any of the classics there, honestly I find them slightly overrated. If you watch them without any nostalgia, as a film most of them would be pretty ridiculous, slow and boring. Except Apocalypse Now, that one is great. But ClockWork Orange, Chinatown and few others don't really hold up too well imho.
Can't agree with that. If you don't have a short attention span, then they're not slow and boring at all. You have to take into consideration when a movie was made, but a well fucking crafted movie is a well fucking crafted movie regardless when it was made. How the fuck don't the classics hold up? They've stood the test of time... Maybe if you're too far caught up in the age of CGI, special effects, explosions, HD, 3D, modern tech, etc... then maybe they don't hold up to you.

I meant love shown in this thread, not in general. Those
4 aren't mentioned much in this thread, pre-my post.
I think people lean more towards movies from the decade they grew up in and I don't think we have many here who grew up in the '60s/'70s. Plus, I don't think they're movies that are on TV a lot (I can't remember the last time I noticed Chinatown or Dr. Stranglelove being on TV), and Apocalypse Now's run time might be a hindrance to some (Redux is like 3 and a half hours long).

Didn't really mean to sound like a kid with a short attention span, I appreciate those movies as works of art. And I am down for slow, methodical movies with good dialogue, amazing performances anc deep underlying themes, but nowadays I think you can have all that along with a little fun.
That's why I like Guy Ritchie/Tarantino movies, they can add all of that together and still entertain you.

These movies would probably be included in my top 25... I don't think I saw
any of these mentioned in this thread...
Friday Night Lights TV Show >>>>>>>>>> Movie
Can't believe I forgot Collateral, that was one of Tom's best performances.
I just love movies about sociopathic killers, hit men or psychos, anyone got some recommendations?

Haven't seen one episode.... I refuse to believe the show is as good as the movie.
maybe I'll have to do a little research on this...

Wow no way that's really your favourite movies of all time. I dislike you a lot. This is why we can't have nice things. You are the lowest common denominator and enjoy the lowest form of mind numbing entertainment. And Hollywood feeds it you becaUse you're easy and you are many, like a blue collar worker helps feed the street walkers that set shop near his construction site.
