I love Net fans trying to pawn off Lopez for Dwight. He's a huge injury risk, there is no way that would happen. Lopez stepped wrong and the Nets sat him down for three weeks. Well to be fair some Laker posters swear that for them Lopez fits better than Dwight.
Be careful what you wish for

Lopez is not better than Dwight. Lopez is in the same level as Pau. Even prime Pau. But they're both no hall of famers.

Re: Kobe and Howard apparently got into a "heated exchange"
Are there any real sources for this? It seems the sources that are vaguely reliable say this is all made up.

Yeah, they think LA's defense is shit, Lopez will make them softer than a tit.

BRECK @breck_one
I'm reading reports that @kobebryant and @DwightHoward got into a heated exchange last night.
Kobe Bryant @kobebryant
@breck_one not true chief. I keep it 100

If it was just him, no. But the best "Source" that says it's true is Bondy and he's an awful source on NY sports much less national.
-
Re: Kobe and Howard apparently got into a "heated exchange"
Because Laker sources have always been honest.
Rumor: Kobe and Shaq got into a confrontation
Source: No truth to this rumor
Rumor: Kobe and Phil got into it
Source: No truth to this rumor

There aren't really good sources. Give me a good source. Not a person like Bondy who posts whatever they want.
Note: Because you want it to happen, and because it would be funny if it happened, doesn't mean it happened.

a few sources says it's not true. Dwight's mouth piece says its not true and ESPN report from California is says it's not true. I would believe a reporter in Cali reporting anything about their team then a reporter in New York. I don't see how he can get any inside info all the way over there.

B. And even if it didn't, it aint like we communicate via smoke signals.

You're right I misread.
But my main point still stands tho.
Just because he's in a different city it doesn't mean he can't get info leaked to him. ESPN and other reporters get info leaked to them all the time regardless of where they are.
Now.. not saying the rumor is true (although I wouldn't be the least bit shocked), but one doesn't have to be in the same city.

Re: Kobe and Howard apparently got into a "heated exchange"
If i was Howard, i would have a beef with Bryant as well. I have watched Bryant closely for his entire career and for some inexplicable reason he is still playing hero ball even as his career winds down. If the opposing team is up by a few scores with a few minutes remaining, what will Bryant do? Will he A) Run the offense and search for the highest percentage shot to get his team within striking distance, or will he B) launch a contested 3 pointer even though that's clearly not the shot his team needs at the moment just so that he can be given all of the credit if they win. Anybody who has watched Bryant play throughout his career knows that he will take the contested 3 pointer 10 out of 10 times. He will never let go of hero ball and this is what i dislike about him the most. He wants all the credit for their victories.

At times I don't blame him for going into hero ball if they're down. At times he kinda has too, that's what every star player must do in these situations aka 'Take over' and try to win the game.
My issue is how he goes about it in this instance.
My issue with Kobe is when they are winning, yet he goes for his regardless of how he and others are playing. If they're winning and other players have played well and he hasn't, he continues to jack up shots to get his stats. Something not exclusive to him, but he's alone in how often he does it.

hero ball got him 5 rings. he should continue doing what he is doing.

I doubt this ever happened because if Kobe and Dwight got into it....we would have seen Dwight with a black eye or a busted nose.

If I was the Lakers I'd keep Howard and ship off Kobe.
Will not be popular of course but best course of action for the franchise future.
Hell we shipped out Shaq...Now ship out Kobe.

Re: Kobe and Howard apparently got into a "heated exchange"
hero ball got him 5 rings. he should continue doing what he is doing.
Hero ball is never a positive thing. It's not positive if MJ does it, if LeBron does it, or if Bryant does it. Coaches hate hero ball for a reason. They want their players to trust the system, trust their teammates, and take intelligent shots. Hero ball encompasses none of the above. Laker fans wonder why Bryant gets all the blame when they lose? It's simple. When you have a guy like Bryant who plays hero ball constantly and seeks all the glory for his teams successes, he should also take all the blame for their failures. If he is such an alpha like people are claiming him to be, he should have no problem accepting the blame for his teams current record.

Good thing you're not the Lakers because that's just a dumb idea.
Kobe>>>Howard and it's very apparent. Lakers future shouldn't
be based on Howard. What happens when the franchise has
to depend on him to score? You know...win the game? lol
Howard needs to keep his mouth shut and improve his D.

Re: Kobe and Howard apparently got into a "heated exchange"
You're dumb too lol.
Kobe has never had a problem taking all the blame and he does.
The problem is when people fail to realize that other people
have to show up ready to play every game and don't. Then
look at Kobe as detrimental to the team because he was dedicated
enough to try and win no matter what the excuses are.
It's a team effort and only Kobe and sometimes Metta show
up to play every night consistently. No excuses for Howard and Pau.
Hero ball doesn't even come until the fourth. Why aren't Howard
and Pau dominating out the gate? You know when they receive
constant touches and should be dominating weaker teams.
-
Re: Kobe and Howard apparently got into a "heated exchange"
And he played hero ball on the Rockets, Lakers and Spurs lol.
That fool went to shoot as soon as the ball came to him every time lol
I'm glad he did!

It's one thing just giving them touches, but how about actually setting them up for once? How about Bryant penetrating the defense and setting them up for easy baskets? Isn't that what all the great ones do? Don't the great ones create easy opportunities for their teammates? It's one thing to just throw those guys the ball on the post and expect them to do something with it. It's another if you see that they aren't doing anything with it and trying another way to get them easy shots/looks.

Re: Kobe and Howard apparently got into a "heated exchange"
Dude are you watching the game?
They did that.
Howard missed all the shots or just got stripped/turned over the ball.
When it was the same scenario with Jordan Hill, Hill hit the Mid range shot lol.
Too bad we won't sit Howard for Hill full time.
