Ball wasn't going in either. It was going to land on the very front of the rim.

That may be the dumbest play ever by Jermaine O'Neal...
Why even go up for a rebound? Time expired right after he shot it.
Just pure stupidity.

Re: Phoenix Suns (23-54) @ Houston Rockets (43-34), 8:00 PM EST on NBA TV
Imagine if this play changed the 6th and 7th seeding. Houston just tied Golden State's win column after this game. GSW plays later tonight.

The last shot Scola took should've been a foul. Smith pushed him. Good game though. lol @ O'Neal. I thought we were going to OT but guess not.
Imagine if this play changed the 6th and 7th seeding. Houston just tied Golden State's win column after this game. GSW plays later tonight.
I'm kind of hoping not... I'd rather the Rockets face the Thunder or Spurs as the 7th seed than the Nuggets as the 6th seed.
The Nuggets are just the worst match-up possible for the Rockets.

I'll still take Denver over OKC or SA.

On a side note: Houston owns tie-breaker over Golden State.
Lawson and Gallo are dealing with injuries.
Even still. The Nuggets are the Rockets' kryptonite.
They are just like the Rockets.. they play the same style and have young, athletic talent who can run the floor. So they can do everything the Rockets do, but better.
The Rockets haven't beaten them this season.

Pretty much this.
And even with Lawson and Danilo out, Rockets still couldn't put them away. Granted it was the second of back to back in 1 mile high Denver but still...

Re: Phoenix Suns (23-54) @ Houston Rockets (43-34), 8:00 PM EST on NBA TV
I rather Houston face Denver instead of OKC/San Antonio. I know Denver won the season series 4-0 but still.
OKC has too much fire power in Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka. They're too talented. San Antonio is too smart and disciplined. Popovich will find a way to slow down Harden without fouling him. Houston will probably lose either way, but Denver is their safest bet.

Re: Phoenix Suns (23-54) @ Houston Rockets (43-34), 8:00 PM EST on NBA TV
Houston's best shot at upsetting anyone in the 1st round is SA.
spurs are overrated every season because of their regular season play but they always fall apart in the postseason.
spurs are the patriots of the nba.
-
Re: Phoenix Suns (23-54) @ Houston Rockets (43-34), 8:00 PM EST on NBA TV
Nuggers 4-0 Rockets is a fluke.
0 chance we beats OKC. Spurs will be difficult. We can beat the Nuggets.

1995 Rockets as #6 if I'm correct. Has a #5 or lower ever won a title after that?

I have no idea. I don't even know why the Rockets were 6th in 1995.

Re: Phoenix Suns (23-54) @ Houston Rockets (43-34), 8:00 PM EST on NBA TV
Some on this thread are vouching well for which team the Rockets will face this playoffs.
Rockets are still young and will enjoy this experience as a learning opportunity. Winning is pretty important too but at this point it's hard to say which they match up with best.
SA? old but savvy.
Denver? They got that mile high city where the Rox could get tired sooner than they want.
OKC? too much fire power in Durant and Westbrook.
I don't know...It's almost like pick your poison.
I'd be happy if they push the series to 6 games. An upset would be phenomenal.

Re: Phoenix Suns (23-54) @ Houston Rockets (43-34), 8:00 PM EST on NBA TV
The Rockets explosive offense is a recipe for a 1st Round upset.
