In 2010 all of a sudden a huge amount of heat fans join up claiming to be fans since 88. :lol
In 2012 post championship you see another huge spike

Every contender has annoying troll fans...Heat fans are no different. Kobe groupies annoy me now even though we aren't a contender anymore.

Re: Heat 'fans'
This makes Heat fans so mad and is totally spot on.
what's funny is that they will either try to ignore a post like this, or state something irrelevant to the topic..
Refer to my earlier post (since join dates are the norm of who's bandwagon Heat fan), there are like 8 posters who post here on and off much before 2010... couple have 2009 post dates too.

Oh, I agree with you there are a few who are fans from when Wade was drafted. I see very few who are fans from the Glen Rice/Alonzo mourning days though. What is noticeable is the number of Heat fans that are post 2010 compared to fans pre 2010 and there's been a noticeable jump in Heat popularity in 2010 and straight after championship last year.

Seen all of them post on and off on here.
That's 8. And how many Heat posters would there be on ISH? I would think there is at least 30 that have accounts opened post 2010.

Re: Heat 'fans'
Heat game threads were 2 pages before bronzey came to town.
A few of us tuned in to watch wade or Beasley etc, but there was only 2 or 3 legit heat fans..
Ricky buckets:oldlol:
All these supposed heat fans now were "diehard cavs fans" before. Pretty fkn sad really..

Well the Heat definitely have the biggest group of obnoxious bandwagon assholes on ISH. Sure, there's some real, decent Heat fans on ISH, but most of them are just Lebron dickriders that jumped off the Cavs bandwagon.

Re: Heat 'fans'
Heat/Knicks is a legitimate rivalry going back more than a decade. If you're truly a fan of either team, its a little weird if you don't have some disdain towards the other.

That's because they are. Outside of like plowking and seba.
Scummy ass fanbase.

You young little Knicks "fans" wouldn't know, but old school Heat/Knicks fans hate each other.

I wouldn't know the exact amount, I tried to remember at least 10 names (probably just forgot a couple) pre 2010.
Anyways, there will always be a spike to a popular team.

I'm guessing it's because the Knicks are a trash team and it's fun to laugh at Melo the career loser.
It's even more fun to laugh at this team because Knicks fans have been the cockiest fans on this board and comletely overlooked this Indiana team that is now going to crush them in 5 games. Even this years shit Lakers team would have beaten a Melo lead Knicks team in the playoffs if they were in the East and Kobe was healthy :lol
I'd probably even take Chris Bosh as first option on a team over Melo. At least he would shoot about ten percentage points higher :lol

And you would also be out of the playoffs.
He was never that impactful as a first option, even offensively. The year he scored 24+ was his contract year, go figure where he lands...

im a heat fan right now, only cuz they da bess right now
i only like being a fan of championship teams

Bosh never played with a DPOY like Tyson Chandler. Melo's always had better teammates than Bosh.
And if the Celtics best player Rajon Rondo was not missing from their team, it would have been 14 years and counting that the Knicks don't win a playoff series.

Re: Heat 'fans'
I used to hate the Knicks way more than the Heat. Being a Bulls fan, Knicks gave us some very tough competition back in the Ewing/Starks era. Id go as far as to say I feared we could lose to them :( But this new generation of Heat "fans" have made me hate them more and like the Knicks and its fans more...
Overall, Knicks have more knowledgeable and classier fans. Alot of their fanbase have gone through the downtimes, whereas post 2010 Heat fans have not..:facepalm
Apogee is one of the few Heat fans I like. The George Bush guy, Plowking, Enough said, and Hank are posters that I cannot bare, along with all their disciples...

Agreed.
ISH would continue on without a ripple if half the Heat fans fell off the face of the earth...Jeff wouldn't be happy about that though, the trolls generate alot of the traffic on here.

Knicks have more knowledgeable fans? Haha the majority of these jokers think Melo is a better player than Dwyane Wade when it's not even close. Some of them were even saying Melo is just as good or better than Durant :facepalm
Knicks fans may seem classier to you, but the Heat fans are justified in being a bit cocky, seeing as they have the best team and player in the league.
-
Re: Heat 'fans'
These heat "fans" were cavs fans, and will be "fans" of whatever team bronzey goes to next...
It will be hilarious if he goes back to the cavs, all these f@ggots will claim they were cavs fans the whole time:roll:

I can see how they can say that about Wade, but Durant is funny...That doesn't reflect that they have little knowledge, just their opinion on players, thats it.
No need to be cocky, no matter what team you support...It's not like Heat are invincible and it's not like these fans should be gloating since few of them have suffered the hard years...

Re: Heat 'fans'
When MJ was starting out winning his 1st championship the amount of 'bandwagon' fans jumped 1000%. Same as Kobe and Shaq amount of Lakers fans went up 1000%. Same as Lebron. Its good for business and gives time for idiots to talk sh1t and hold themselves in higher regards (unearned sense of achievement). At the end of the day NBA is a damn leisure activity it isn't your family or your work, its something you do for fun. For most of us maybe it was something super exciting growing up watching MJ but then after years you just treat it like any other damn thing like a T.V series. MJ retires is like a great TV show ending for me. I got back into the NBA when Shaq and Kobe were starting to do well a few seasons later just like a new t.v series began again. Same with when they got old and started watching t.v shows like Lost or heroes then hey look Lebron get back into nba a bit. You kids need to stop taking life so seriously especially if you are dedicating so much time disrespecting how other people spend their leisure time.
