lebron stealing Wade's FMVP in 2011 from Wade. Singlehandedly sabotaged the finals by having the worst choke job of all time by any star NBA player.
Lebron didnt even get FMVP. :wtf:
Kobe stans reaching to the unknown. :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol:
The only 2x instances of this I can think of came in recent years:
Pau Gasol stole Kobe's 2008 Fmvp by not showing up
LeBron James stole Wade's 2011 Fmvp by not showing up
how can they steal it when they didn't get it? gtfo with your idiotic comments.

Dwayne Wade has never played for the Mavericks.
Agreed. Rodman was a beast in that series
How does one go about stealing an award like that? It's not like he voted for himself. He had no control over the vote other than to play

Duncan from Manu in 2005.

Kobe Bryant robbed Shaq of his 4th MVP in 2004.

By not playing well or not passing?
I think Shaq would have had to score 50 ppg for the Lakers to win that series.

Re: Naming NBA players who stole a Finals MVP from their teammate
Dennis Johnson stole it from Gus Williams in 78 by putting up a horrific game 7, and then undeservingly won it over Gus in 79 because the media felt good that DJ redeemed himself.

Re: Naming NBA players who stole a Finals MVP from their teammate
lebron stole 2013 MVP from ginobli/parker you pick.

DJ was much better all around than Williams.

Re: Naming NBA players who stole a Finals MVP from their teammate
Kobe stans are fuming right now. But keep in mind that these are simply facts. Kobe has shot-jacked his way to completely awful Finals performances pretty much every time save for 1 or 2 Finals.
In 2010 it was very arguable if Kobe was the Finals MVP. 40 FG% Finals MVP with a 6/24 Game 7? That is incredibly weak. Compare it to Finals MVPs like LeBron 2013 who finishes a team off with a monstrous 37/12/4 and the clutch game-sealing jump shot in Game 7. Very weak.

The same Lebron who had a game where he took 21 shots for 15 points iin that finals?
How many times did Pau drop 30+ in the finals like wade? How many times did the Lakers have a player other than Kobe go for 30+ and another go for 20 in the same finals game?

Yeah, let's see... what are people really going to remember, some 15-point game in a meaningless Game 3 or the 16-point 4th quarter sparking one of the all-time great 4th quarter comebacks in Game 6 and dubbed "The Headband Game" or the beastly 37/12/4 on 12/23 shooting and a Finals-clinching jumper with 26 seconds left in the deciding Game 7 to win Finals MVP?
Kobe stans always gotta reach like crazy on these comparisons. Meanwhile, what Kobe is remembered for in the 2010 Finals is his 6/24 performance in Game 7. People are always going to remember the Lakers winning IN SPITE OF Kobe's shooting woes.

I guess Kobe did get two MVPs stolen from him. 06&07.

Re: Naming NBA players who stole a Finals MVP from their teammate
Duncan from Manu in 2005.
Duncan 20.6 / 14.1 / 2.1 / 2.1 with anchoring the defense vs Manu 18.7 / 5.9 / 4 in '05.
It should be Manu kept Duncan from getting another Finals MVP in '13 by turning over the ball so much.

Game 7, 4th quarter:
Manu 11 / 3 / 2 vs. Duncan 5 / 2 / 2 with 3 turnovers
No Manu, no party (that is why they lost this year)

Re: Naming NBA players who stole a Finals MVP from their teammate
I'm in the very large minority that believes Ray Ray should have won that year.
Broke the NBA Finals record for threes made(at the time) with 22 while averaging 20.3/5.0/2.5 on 50/52/87 percentages.
Averaged more boards, more steals, more blocks, less turnovers than Pierce, and did a great job defending Bryant even though he wasn't the only one tasked with it, he was the most effective IMO. He even held Bryant scoreless for the entire first half of Game 4.
I can see your point and can like 90% agree with ya ... and granted that ray ray did perform extremely well in those finals, but ray ray got tee'd up VERY well for most of his shots ... it doesn't diminish the quality of his stats but the quality of play from the C's team (crisp passing, solid screens) got him those quality shots and that's probably what goes against ray ray, rightly or wrongly

Comments like these told me you did not watch the game. It was a defensive game no one shot well and while he did not shoot well Kobe did have a ton of rebounds. Kobe average 10 more points then Gasol and averaged 3 less rebounds despite not being a big man. Kobe haters come up with the dumbest arguments.
