Nah, I put it in context. Rose was a 22 year old 3rd year player who had never been on that stage before. On top of that he was the only legit offensive threat late in games which allowed Miami to load up on him. Even then he still didn't play scared and went down fighting.

In contrast Lebron was a 8 year vet at his peak with two other stars beside him to take the pressure off. He'd been in championship rounds before and even then he played like a chump in the Finals. Not for one games, two games, three games....that dude spent the majority of the 2011 Finals shook out of his mind. Even Wade undressed him late in Game 3 when Lebron wanted no part of the ball in the final minutes. Then came Game 4, eight f**kin points in a Finals game with Shawn Marion calling him a bitch in the same game? You remeber 2011 after the Finals.It did not calm down.There were like a hundred hate the Heat and/or LeBron threads made every day for months,compare that to 2012 and there were way less.

I dont really put much stock into the past but people have every single year since the Big 3 formed said CHI has their number and will beat them and are shouting,hating the heat,proclaiming Bulls champs or Miami beaters.

Barkley, Drexler and Hakeem were out of their primes. The rest of the guys you mentioned were top players but none of those were considered the best player in the league. Huge difference. That's why LeBron was hammered by former greats after the decision. They felt he was taking the easy road to NBA titles, instead of trying to beat his biggest competition in the East, he decided to team up with him and bring in an All Star PF for extra measure :facepalm When Pierce, Garnett and Allen got together, they too were past their peak. OTOH, LeBron was entering his prime when he decided to join up with a prime Wade and Bosh. That is unprecedented, where the current MVP and consensus best player in the league leaves his team to join another one. That is the equivelent of Jordan in 1989 joining Magic Johnson's Lakers and bringing Charles Barkley to boot.
