And i've lived in London for 20. You must be looking in the wrong places. Go out in London on the first few hot summery days of the year (nice London, not shit London), and there are plenty of very attractive young women around.

I do agree though that the average person on the tube is pretty horrific looking. My school also was packed with very attractive girls.

London is full of hot babes. The thing about the hot babes in London is hardly any of them are English. The English are fat tubby hos with orange skin tan and flat asses. There is a reason the English have been voted the most unattractive women IN THE WORLD.

My knowledge of this chick is limited to the fact that she's the daughter of the guy who starred in Pink Floyd's The Wall movie, which frankly makes Geldoff a legend in my book, even though it's pretty much that and We Are the World that anyone from the US would even moderately know him from.

Still it's very sad.

I had a friend pass away a few weeks ago. 29 years old. We weren't especially close. She was the younger sister of a guy I played basketball with growing up. And she later became something of a local legend bartender at a bar in New Haven, about a half hour from me, and a spot I spend a fair amount of time. I have friends there who were closer to her than me. But we were plenty friendly.
Her brother Jerry, who's on the short list of best players I ever played with, was a total **** up, who sadly in his own right passed away from an overdose maybe three years ago.
She too was a basketball savant. A tallish girl, she was an incredible HS PG. Multiple All-State's, and went on to play well at a small college. I remember winning more than one bet when she was bartending regarding her beating some guy at some basketball skill or another.

I read on FB from a random here or there, RIP Sarah ... I started fishing around but got very little info. And whenever anyone dies that young, the first though is Overdose or Suicide. With Sarah's family history, the OD seemed plausible, but even in just the little time I spent with her over the years, it just seemed impossible. Suicide too. She was infectiously happy. I proposed it to our mutual friend who knew her much better than me. He was flying up from his new home in New Orleans for the services, but hadn't learned anything yet. And was kind of a dick about my even suggesting such a thing (which I didn't really suggest, just sort of asked, but I understand). Turns out it was an embalism that got her in her sleep. Hopefully for this girl's family it turns out to be something equally tragically random.



And just because I'm ranting now, it was just a few weeks before that, the week of the Big East Tournament in fact, that my family was struck again but tragedy.
My cousin (second cousin actually, I have 47 first cousin's though, so the oldest ones are more like aunts while their kids are more like cousins, and there are ones younger than me that see me more as an uncle) ... died mysteriously in a parked car on a morning before work with her boyfriend. I've told this story before on here, but I'll rehash ... this cousin's younger sister, about 8 years ago, killed herself. She was in 8th grade, and hung herself in the guest bedroom closet at her grandparent's house (my aunt, my mother's oldest sister). As it turns out, it was over some stupid 8th grade thing, some boy liked her friend better, or some such foolishness that feels like it's the only thing that matters in the world at that age. My entire family went down a rabit hole of learning about suicide websites, depression, autoerotic asphyxiation, and just about any other rediculous thing you don't really want to hear your parents talk about.
The truth is the family had a rough run. My actual cousin, the mother, had three kids with a guy who turned out to be nuts. At the time he was in prison for tieing her and the kids up in their basement and lighting their house on fire, because apparently as a local prison guard, he was nailing some female inmate who was getting out soon, and they were going to take the insurance money and live forever. I was a little young at the time they were dating, but I remember Mike being super cool. A prison guard who was this physical specimen. I was probably in 8th grade myself when he started coming around. They were probably in their early 20s. And in retrospect, I'm guessing they both did more than their fair share of drugs.

Many years later the younger sister commits suicide. And now almost a decade after that, the older sister, now in her late 20s, is found dead in her car with her boyfriend. We know she battled drug use in the years following her sister's suicide, and made an attempt of her own. But those things seemed a few years in the past now. She was working at a resturant where she met this guy who seemed great, and they were both going to culinary school. The police revealed very little. A citizen walking his dog on a wooded road came across the parked running vehicle with both bodies unresponsive inside. Did they OD? Double Suicide? Murder Suicide (made no sense)?
Turns out they stopped there every morning on their way to school to eat breakfast. It was cold that day, so they kept the car running for the heat. But the car had a bad Catalytic converter, and they backed up close to a large wet rock when they parked, just enough to back up the exhaust, and both just quietly fell asleep over egg sandwiches and never got up.


I'm not even sure what's sadder for a family, finding out a story like this Peaches is an OD or suicide, or is it even more tragic when it's just random shit luck?

I don't know what you mean by 'they aren't English' either. There are many multi-ethnic people here, but if they grew up here, then they are English. I'm half Polish, 3/8 English and 1/8 Italian, but that still makes me English. Lots of people in London are mixed heritage like that, and it doesn't mean they aren't English.

Kate Beckinsale, Emilia Clarke, Emma Watson, Keira Knightley, Emily Blunt are exceptions to the rule.

London has many beautiful "english" girls. Girls who have grown up in England and are English but a lot of them are not english ethnically. I think ethnic english girls are not that good looking when compared to other Europeans, but Nick is overrating the problem. A lot of the posher english girls are generally a level above when it comes to looks though, but I dont think Nick has experienced that, and neither have I because living in London you dont usually see posh girls, they usually live in places like Kent, etc.

Posh girls living in Kent? South West London is full of posh middle class and upper class girls. I live down the road from one of the poshest places in England and it's full of great looking girls.

Of course it is impossible to tell from simply looking at them because London is so ethnically diverse. Say a girl has a Swedish mother, but English father, and grew up + went to school in England, then she may look Scandinavian, but she is more English than she is Swedish.

You'll find that nearly everyone is a mix of one kind or another. The ones that aren't a mix (or are 'pure') will generally be ugly (like the Royal Family), because genetic diversity in parents is important when it comes to offspring, and their appearance. You notice this when you go to small towns that not many people stray from, and they're full of people barely deserving of the label 'human being' - it has nothing to do with being 'English'

Outliers. I'm talking about in general. If genetic diversity was that high everybody would be brown.

I spent a week in London and Birmingham for a conference and I was appalled at how ugly nearly all the women were. Only bangable ones clearly had strong ethnic influences.

They were really nasty. I live in a tiny college town in the middle of PA and I could walk outside right now and find 10 girls in an hour that are 5 times hotter than anyone I saw in London over a week.
