Re: Kevin Love Wants Out, Lakers or Knicks
Westbrook and Ibaka for Love and Rubio.
Durant gets his pass first PG and I think him and Love would play off of each other a little better.
Minnesota gets a star back for Love, upgrades at the point and Ibaka complements Pekovic(who isn't a rim protector) up front well. Draft someone like Saric or James Young and you have a pretty interesting squad.
westbrook alone is worth more or equal to getting love + rubio.
u want ibaka too?

Minny would jump all over that deal lol, especially since Ibaka and Westbrook have like 3 years left on their contracts. They'd actually make the playoffs next season, especially if they get to keep this year's lotto pick.
If this story is actually true, Minnesota has very little leverage then. Teams are going to offer low-ball trades lol. If he's serious about winning, he either goes to EC via trade/FA or tries to get on a current WC playoff contender (can only see Phoenix or Houston as viable teams right now).

Knicks'll do Tyson + Bargnani, and 2024 second round pick (unprotected).

Why should the Lakers get Westbrook and Love? Is there a line in the NBA rule book that says the Lakers must always be privileged with success?

Any other laker fans not want this fkn scrub?:confusedshrug:
Rather sign someone else, maybe melo? Top pick in this years draft, healthy Kobe and keep a few of our bench guys, NEW COACH, and championship cruise:rockon:

he just wants out of Minny because it sucks there. That is number 1.

The Lakers are not that good these days that they should turn down a player of Love's caliber. Our team is bottom-feeder, man. Even with a healthy (but mind you, 37 year old) Kobe and the rest of the present lineup... a borderline playoff team... if that.
I don't really like Kevin Love's game, but at least he is passionate and a instant upgrade. Not a Laker for life or anything close to that, but for a solid 3-4 years... sure. When Bryant retires, management must blow up everything anyway.

That's just it though, I don't think love is a high caliber player at all..
Rather go for melo, if not then try our luck in the draft..
At least we didn't get stuck with dwight:lol
Buss is an idiot so I'm not expecting miracles..

Re: Kevin Love Wants Out, Lakers or Knicks
Wolves need to try and get a top 5 pick in this draft for him if they're smart.
-
Re: Kevin Love Wants Out, Lakers or Knicks
Wolves should have made this trade before the season, but better late than never.
I don't know why they would want draft picks. They can't really bottom out and their history of doing anything with picks...even when they hit one...is terrible.
They should move Love/Brewer to the Warriors for Lee/Barnes/Green.
Curry
Thompson
Iggy
Love
Bogut
Brewer/Speights/Crawford/Blake/Backup center
Way better than what they currently have.
Minny would get to run out;
Rubio
Martin
Barnes
Lee
Pek
Barea/Green/Buddinger/Dieng/Moute
Both teams are just way better in my opinion.

Well, I think Melo is a high scoring, skilled loser who doesn't really give a fcuk, and I think Kevin Love is a high scoring, high rebounding skilled and passionate loser. So I'd side with Love, who probably comes cheaper and is younger.

Do Warriors fans love him that much?
That you would turn down Kevin Love if you were forced to give up Draymond Green?
It's not really about the player in Brewer...it's that the Wolves would really want to shed either the Brewer or Buddinger deal in any Love trade.
When you have a core of Curry/Thompson/Iggy/Bogut....and you could land Love...you don't worry about Draymond Green. I like him, but you don't worry about him.
Now...would you rather do Love/Buddinger for Lee/Iggy? So you keep Barnes/Green...

How does Love make them better over Lee?
Defense? No, he's worse.
Rebounding? Not really when he plays next Bogut.
Passing? No; Lee is better in the halfcourt
Lee's post game is superior as well, and gets tough buckets when they need it. Love would be another soft jump shooter, which they dont need. They have enough guys jacking up 3s

Re: Kevin Love Wants Out, Lakers or Knicks
Don't trade draft pick for a guy with an expiring contract

Re: Kevin Love Wants Out, Lakers or Knicks
If Love is going to cost the Lakers their first, then they'd be better off going after Monroe. Keep the pick and draft Smart/Vonleh instead (unless the pick is top 3).

The biggest news in 4 years for the Knicks was the PJ signing. Now the writers are starving for daily tidbits due to the Garden's secrecy and the Net's ineptitude. You will see the most ridiculous stories right up until the ball gets moving.
NY media does not help the Knick's image, for certain. Embarrassing, to say the least. :facepalm

Well, we disagree about as much as possible here. The difference between Lee and Love as players in my opinion is huge.
To your points...I disagree with all of them. Love is a better defender, rebounder, and passer.
He's just a different class of player.

Re: Kevin Love Wants Out, Lakers or Knicks
Suns only team out of the 3 who will have what wolves want
I'm not sure what the Wolves want. Are they really going to rebuild?
They have a lot of guys on the roster that are quality players and if they got Lee/Iggy....they could make the playoffs.
They are kind of locked into Pek, Martin, Rubio, Brewer, Buddinger for the next few years.
I mean...they could definitely trade them all as they are all on pretty good contracts, but it seems like they could get real assets and try to make the playoffs and build.
I mean...another bottoming out...that would be hard for fans to take.
This is why there shouldn't be a franchise in Minnesota. ****ing Love for 6 years and they haven't made the playoffs. Just pathetic.
Now, like everyone has known for over a year now...Love is going to refuse to sign with them and wants out.
