I think they got it tbh. This team is loaded. Even without love
they just got another all-star caliber talent in JR Smith, who has only ever needed to be motivated to play up to his talent level... he'll be motivated in lebron-ville.
then they just got mosgov, who's always been a valued gem of a big man - shot-blocker, banger and finisher around the rim - exactly what the cavs were missing.
the cavs already had the league's best top talent - they're the only team in the league with 3 dream-teamers and/or all-stars.
and now, with these additions, they have the best supporting talent in the league...
does anyone in the league have a better top 3, or better supporting talent after the top 3?
they will breeze through the all-time weak East, and face an inexperienced team in the Finals (HOU OR GS), who will shudder in the bright lights and lose to the cavs... that pretty much covers it... :(
whether you hate him or not. 3ball is a legit basketball mind
this ninja ****ing scares me sometimes.............

***You'll notice that I included a prime Garnett in MJ's list, since he and MJ both played SF in 2002 - in their first meeting when MJ was a Wizard, they were matched up SF vs. SF for the entire game.. MJ scored 35 on Garnett in every way imaginable from the opening tip - at the 4:00 mark, Jordan scores on Garnett for 5 consecutive possessions, with the announcers getting more excited each time:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=embqhggoep4
Lebron was never guarded by a prime Garnett.. I doubt he would have the quickness to make it a huge mismatch like MJ did.. After all, guys like Boris Diaw, Gordon Hayward fare well against Lebron defensively.
Also, the list above doesn't include many of the tremendous offensive wings that MJ faced including: Dr. J, James Worthy, Bernard King, Mitch Richmond, Alex English, Glenn Robinson, Jamaal Mashburn, Detlef Schrempf, Chris Mullin, Larry Bird, Fat Lever, Jeff Hornacek, Allan Houston, Jeff Malone, Glen Rice, Kiki Vandeweghe
**** me running if I'm right... :hammerhead:
If the Cavs beat Warriors this year and Lebron puts up GOAT stats, I will have to concede that he's finally had a championship run that compares to one of MJ's from a dominance standpoint.
And if Kyrie is MIA, that's the only way they can win - by Lebron putting up GOAT stats.. I'm thinking 36 PPG, 10 RPG, 10 APG - basically, MJ-level dominance from 1991-1993 type shit, although a lot more TO's and worse efficiency... Or maybe just 32 PPG on even lower efficiency, but he's just GOAT-level clutch - EVERY big shot, like MJ in 1997 or 1998.
Regardless, I'd surely throw up in my mouth a little bit if it appears the series is headed this direction.
.
WTF are you talking about? MJ never averaged a triple double for a finals run
He never averaged a double double for a playoff series either.

BRUUHH
After they were 19 - 20 the trades, and getting lebron back healthy..
Cavs are 34 - 9 in regular season, 12 - 2 in playoffs...and 14 - 1 against the west.
And between playoffs and regular season, they only lost two game at home.
And 2 losses coming out of those 9 , there was no Lebron.

Being brutally honest, the Cavs do have a good shot if the role players continue their solid play. The Cavs D has been really good, much better than I thought they could do. Maybe it's a bit skewed because the level of quality in the East is worse than the West but they have a much better defensive unit with Shump and TT in the starting line up. GSW are on a whole different level though, they can score and play D.
About LeBron, this is exactly what I wanted to see from him. Too many times in the past, if he was struggling with his shot, he become less aggressive. But in this postseason, even if he's shooting at a lower FG% and turning the ball over, he's still being aggressive and willing his team to the finish line. Sometimes you're just gonna struggle with your shot but if you play good D and keep being aggressive, good things happen. Looks like Bran finally understands this.
Congrats to Cleveland

I think the Cavs starting unit can hold their own, but what about that bench?
Only Jr Smith and Delladova, idk man warriors are too stacked.

Magic averaged a double double for 9 straight playoff runs. What does he win for that?

Accolades that he didn't really deserve because those should've gone to Kareem.

I think you missed the point that 3ball claimed LeBron has to have a 36/10/10 series for it to be an "MJ level finals"... which is asinine considering MJ never averaged those numbers for a finals

He deserved everything he got, and in fact was better than Byron Scott in 1988.

Did he, really? I think you'll find that a lot of people think Kareem should have won the 1985 MVP (and some who argue the first one should have gone to Kareem as well)
They will win game 7 on Delly's game winning shot.
You know, I actually like you as a poster since Jordan was my sports idol growing up. But this is so obvious a troll. One, Cavs aren't winning this year. Two, comparing Wade and Bosh to Jordan and Barkley is :facepalm. Three, even if I go by the point that Wade and Bosh were the best at their positions like Jordan and Barkley...they still weren't even that. Wade you can argue for, but after 2011-2012 season, Wade declined hard. And Bosh the best PF:biggums:, maybe top 5, maybe.
You know that the two chips they won was all fourth quarter Wade right? That and a Ray Allen 3.

Lebron yesterday practiced his 3 point shoot during the game... we are talking about the ECF, all-time weak? for sure. And the WCF is hou vs gs.
3ball once again proving he is one of the few here that actually like and understand the game.

It wasn't that big of a jump. The playoffs have been shit. The only thing he is wrong about is that GSW is inexperienced, but they are ****ing good.
Cavs can win the ring, for sure. I kept thinking the Cavs would lose... more injuries, more bad games by Bron, but no. haha. The other team was always worse. I don't think that will happen with GSW. Cavs will have to play pretty well for 4/7 games, and that's if the GSW play average. If they play well, it's gonna be hard.
It can happen. I'd have said 25% (and I think I did) before... but I'd say it's more like 33% now that the Cavs win. Subtle shifts. It was definitely influenced by the Cavs sweeping and the GSW losing g4. Still, GSW is gonna beat them I think, unless GSW folds like bitches under the pressure.
