OK, nevermind on the trade ai.

This is what I turned the Jazz team into before playing a game:

And I managed to pick up a second first in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

I had some better players, but I wanted to keep the younger guys and had a vision of what I want my team to look like which I'm not flexible on. Plus, I don't like keeping 70+ players on the deep end where I don't give pt to (in this case: Thabo, Payne, Pressey, and Ezeli - going 9 man rotation). Feel a little guilty when I do that. Probably going to drop Payne and pick up fatass Bennett just cause.

Whole rookie year is 8 games with long pre determined cut scenes about you and your family.

The Spike Lee stuff is terribad. You can skip most of it though, and it ends once you get to the NBA.

-Durant MVP; Russell ROY
-Lillard, by my research, becomes the 3rd player in NBA history to average 30/10 assists (7th time, Big O did it 5 times).
-Cavs championship over Clippers
-Recent NBA seeding changes are in effect.
-Relocation failure doesn't make you re-do everything again and can reapply next season.
-Staff hire is now like player free agency period
-Teams still draft randomly; top prospects no longer fall; draft day trading is absurd and clearly untested
-Summer League and Hoops Summit additions are a nice touch and surprisingly polished.

Lillard won the scoring title, averaging 31.3 ppg. Durant at 29.5 was second. Nothing surprising, except maybe Isaiah Thomas being 15th in scoring at 21.9.

DJ was the rebounding leader at 15.8.

Lillard also was the assists leader at 10.3. Only player above 10. I guess Westbrook at 9.8 seems high. Considering Durant averaged 8.3, himself.

Think I moved too many players for standings to show anything, but just for the first season before random rookies start littering the league..

As you can see, the recent changes to seeding are in the game (Atlanta and Miami are 2-3, same with the Clips and Warriors).

My Jazz lost in the first round, although Mirotic and Green were both injured. Kind of ****ed my entire roster build. Sidenote: Hezonja is a beast. Looking at the rookie stats, he probably was second in ROY voting. And I had him coming off the bench until Bradley got injured.

Clippers defeat Spurs in the WCF. Cleveland over Miami in ECF. Cavs in 6 over LAC. Bron FMVP (27.5/7.3/8.5).

Pop and Karl retire. Weirdly, so does Billy Donovan.

And my relocation request fails... 15 votes. Needed 16. Says I can add more stuff to change votes for next year, so I assume I don't need to restart everything, ie, rebuild the court, jerseys, and whatnot. That would be a relief.

New staff stuff. Can now steal staff from other teams and vice versa. It works like FA where you offer and they take days to reply back, rather than before where you could sign them immediately. Which is apparently more difficult as I got none of my first targets. Nor second targets. And none of third targets... Left with scraps. Tho they weren't as demanding, so I managed to get them all for 1 year, less than max contract deals. I'll do better next offseason. I did notice a lot of coaches either didn't re-sign or got fired. Blatt was in there after winning it all. Carlisle. McHale.

Drafts still don't make sense. Wiz got the top pick and they took a PG, who wasn't even the top prospect. The presentation is much better, tho. When you pick comes up they show your trade offers now. That NY pick ended up being 13... I got an offer from the Sixers where I trade my 13 for Carl Landry and the guy they selected 5th in this draft. :wtf: And that wasn't the only offer of players already selected earlier in the draft. Happened again at my next pick. Should note that top 8 or so prospects aren't falling in the draft like they did in last game.

Haha, traded my 13 and something-I-forget-not-too-valuable for the Hornet's 11th pick (the guy I was targeting for 13) and a future 1st. Then at my next 1st rounder, at 23, they offered the guy they selected with the 13th after trading it for me for the 23 pick straight up. Happened again at my 25th pick. Stupid ass game. btw, didn't accept either. That guy was trash and no idea why they traded a much better player to select him in the first place.

So, not bad. Tho weird that the two choosing FA are Dirk and Duncan.

Duncan, Kobe, and Dirk have no retired and are all FAs. fyi: Kobe signed with the Kings, Duncan ended up on the Lakers, and Dirk somehow ended up back in Dallas.

The summer league addition is pretty cool. Uses your younger players and you fill the rest of the roster with FAs. There's actual a schedule and then championship round like the real summer league. Jumped into one of the games and the court is legit the Magic summer league court. Although that one isn't for visitors and there's clearly an audience there. Small gripe.

Hoops Summit also nice. Tho played in MSG. Pretty sure that's played in Portland, unless they changed it.

And that's the offseason. Just checked and all my work into relocation is still there.

btw the whole change navigation from dpad to right stick is pissing me off. Why? WHY? And for franchise/gm guys, Bennett in the FA is decent value pick up. During the sim only he and Gobert were getting trade offers and while I'm messing in the trade finder my second season, teams are wanting me to include him and they'll throw in a pick.

He's my pet tho. I'm going to make sure he isn't a bust.

And, yeah, the mode is still broken. 25 games into my third season my lineup ended up being: #1 overall pick PG/Wiggins/Parker/#1 overall pick PF/Gobert with Bradley/Mario/#3 overall pick SF/Bennett (who I turned into an elite 3pt shooter)/WCS. And I had about 14 1st round picks over the next 4 drafts. Or 3 drafts. Can't remember how far ahead you can trade picks.

Tho you do level up a lot slower than last year.

he put up 30+ points and 13 assists per game in my first season. D'angelo Russell put up 27ppg and 11 assists in his second year. There's some players who just seem to be awesome in this game.

First impressions of the game for me, I like it, feels tighter, game play seems a step slower but overall it works well. You can actually play defence, keeping your man in front of you with out him sliding through to the ring. They make you pay if you try for steals or jump on a pump fake.

Took me and my bro a good few hours to work out how to play a 2 player association like we normally do, each player locking a player. I know when 2k15 first released it didn't work either. Now there was just no option, with only a player lock option for player 1. Weird. Ending up having to set player locks from the main menu, then going into association and locking player 1 in the menu there.
Worked good after that.

Don't really get down in my career, scanned my self in though and found the face scan is much more reliable and quicker. 2k15 i had to almost set up a small photo studio to get anything half decent, this year i was able to just sit in a sunny room in the light of the window and hold the camera myself. Did have to clean shave though as it kept registering my beard as part of my actual chin, making myplayer have a huge ass chin.
Very bizarre having a black family as a white Australian suburban male, surely they could of had an adoption line or something... Also, absolutely hate the nickname FREQ, wtf? Just strange choices for this mode, but again, i don't really play it at all.

It seems though every year they implement bizarre decisions and i can't help but feel it because of the people they are getting on board. When the got Jordan on board for 2k11/12 was great, but since then, every one they have got someone new for marketing etc and it feels strange. They should go back and just do it themselves. 2k13.... Jay Z, 2k14 & Lebron, 2k15 & Pharrell and now Spike Lee and his shit. Even the music was better before having Jay Z & Pharrell pick it. 2K7/8 and shiz were awesome.

Overall though, this game will be great for what i play it for, 2 player fantasy association, and i can play as my boy Mudiay, and the beats are much better than the last few iterations. If i had to score out of 10, probably an 8.

I found the face scan even worse than last year. I kept trying it with a bunch of light and it was just not working. It'd have like a generic no features bald head and then like a photo graph of my actual face stretched and distorted on it. So it looked like a weird albino hairless thing had parts of my face tatooed on his cheeks and fore head because nothing lined up.

Hmm weird, mine worked first go, i have done it about 5-6 times just to mess around. Only thing i had once, i was wearing a red top and it picked up part of it, took my top off, no problem. :confusedshrug:

Lillard won MVP again... Twice in four seasons. His team didn't even make the playoffs.

On paper Russell is basically 6-5 Curry. Give him the hype/unknown boost, following Curry's last season, and it's not surprising he kills in this game. Same with Towns (becomes top ranked center three years in) and I took over the Sixers after Utah ****ed me and Okafor puts up peak KG numbers after I moved him to PF. Legit 24/12/5 couple blocks.

I did notice overall progression is slower for the non-chosen one and auto-generated players have way lower trade value. I'm constantly seeing former top 5 picks up for trade 2 or 3 seasons in their career. And they are still 70s or maybe low 80s. Just drafted the first consensus #1 across the board (79 ranked) I've seen, so I'll see if he develops quickly. But I haven't seen a real star yet come out of the generated classes 3 and a half seasons in. Completely unlike last year.

Not sure if that's there (didn't care to check), but you can relocate a team and it has all those options. Not exactly the same, tho it's pretty detailed.

I honestly can NOT believe that this game does not offer the option to create a team for offline play. I paid $80 for this game ( pre-order, Jordan edition) and something so simple and user-friendly is not available to me.

So...there is about 80 million options for customization of a created team...but [B]only if you intend to take it online[/B]? WTF? What is this crap about unlocking cards to open the create a team option...to be played online only?

I don't care about silver and gold packs. I don't want to play any games with the $h!tt!est Basketball players I barely even know just for an opportunity to earn some better players. I often find it difficult to even enjoy talking about Basketball online...why would I want to play against people that I typically have nothing but contempt for?

This online is da best eva thing-thang is getting too far out of hand. In another couple of years they won't even allow the possibility to have an offline assocation. It will be considered an out-dated option that only losers with past-gen systems and no internet connections would even think about.

No i'm shooting 60% in my second season but I picked outside as my SF role and have 80ovr 3 point shooting, 3s seem far to easy when you are taller than your opponent now, used to need heaps of space now i think height difference plays more of a part.

Every game tries to tie every feature to the internet these days, because it's easier to try and milk money out of you that way.
