i think AD's value is slightly overrated
he's a top 2-3 center in basketball and top 10 player
but he's not very marketable. he's ugly. he's awkward. he's introverted. he's a big man. he's not very flashy
and he's not very impactful. he's won only one playoff series in his career. hes in his absolute prime and on a bottom feeder. he isn't aggressive. he's very complacent and now his lifes goal is to become a 2nd banana in lebrons shadow after watching many other bigs careers go down the toilet playing next to him
i think demanding a trade to the lakers will be AD's biggest mistake of his career and he'll end up getting sold for scraps 2-3 years afrom now when the lakers are still struggling to make the playoffs. and by then nobody will care about the guy and he'll already have missed out on his opportunity of becoming the first 300 million dollar man.
if i were him i would go to new york and be the face of the franchise in the biggest market. win or lose he would be worshipped. pair him with a kyrie or some other ball dominant closer and the knicks would be in the playoffs every year
the lakers on the other hand have zero shot with or without AD

That's not true, most posters here had him as a top 5 player in the league last season, only a certain few tried to downplay his impact. They were somewhat respectable with him on defense and look at them now.
