This. All you can do is vote.
I'm willing to bet that there are a few Republicans and Democrats who secretly, yet wholeheartedly agree with this. They're likely hoping that as all of this gets normalized and firmly entrenched in our governance, they will be able to exploit the same oversight shortcomings when they take power. Anyone who thinks that simply voting Trump out of office is where this ends is naive. The Overton window of accepted political behavior has shifted considerably, and it will be difficult to reign it in.

Bruh, I've seen politics long enough to have noticed several trends in modern times...
GOP POTUS are always potrayed (with few exceptions) as dimwitted but strong, Reagan, GWB and now Trump. Democrats are always smart but weak, Carter, Clinton and Obama. Its like its a role they're playing...
If you think a GOP congress will stand around and do nothing while the next Dem president does even 1/10th of the shit Trump has done, then you are naive. Democrats are spineless, the GOP are dirty af and play to win. Bush/Cheney and Co. weren't ever even investigated for lying us into a war nor for war crimes, nothing is happening to Trump, only voting his ass out is the only option left.

Two things. First, consistently highlighting and hammering on these incidents provides a consistent stream of fodder in regard to how severely unfit Trump has been and continues to be for office... and aids, not detracts, in the will of the electorate eventually voting him out off office. There are certainly many Americans who are neither paying attention nor care about some of these things, but there is an increasing number who do. These sorts of incidents firmly put Trump, and his defenders, on the defensive, and prevents them from controlling the news cycle. And yes, Republicans tend to get away with some wild behavior, but Trump's poor current standing is not simply a result of the slowing economy or because people want better health insurance options. Democrats should continue to use every tool in their arsenal to attempt to hold Trump accountable for the sake of holding him accountable, and quite frankly, it's also great for them politically.
Secondly, what we are seeing now is vastly different from what we have seen before. Bush and Cheney lying about Iraq and getting away with it was to be expected given all of the shenanigans that took place around Vietnam for instance, or Iran Contra. Administrations, unfortunately, have always been given wide latitude regarding their foreign policy dealings, and the kid gloves especially come out when it comes to war. But with Trump, we have likely crossed a rubicon in terms of acceptable behavior because many of these scandals center on his personal behavior both in and out of office. Republicans and backers in general have been forced to defend, dismiss, ignore and pretend not to know about a number of things Trump has done. It's not a matter of looking like hypocrites in the future - they have little shame... they don't care about being hypocrites. It's a matter of how effective they will be in levying such attacks in the future when they have actively participated in making this behavior acceptable. It's akin to how ineffective Republicans were when complaining about Obama's vacations after all of Bush's vacation time. They've effectively neutered themselves on many of their favorite talking points due to Trump.

First, he didn't take Obama's job from him, last I heard, HC ran against Trump.
Second, as soon as Trump is out, and there's a good chance it'll be next year, the next Dem POTUS will dismantle everything Trump did, and if he/she's a dick about it, could even go after Trump for all the shit he has done that this spineless Congress has failed to do.

Lol, fake
And since I assume you have no idea how the Electoral College works, voting 7 times in a state where one candidate was clearly ahead and the other had zero chance, is redundant. You get no brownie points for running up the score.
That tweet would be much more believable if it was from a state up in play, a swing state is how we call it here (FL or OH are good examples). Voting as a Dem a ton of times in NY is the same as a GOP voting numerous time in TX...it's a waste of time.
You're welcome.

You don't have to run on that.
In other countries, a corrupt leader loses an election and then faces justice by a different administration and could end up in jail. Quick example...Lula Da Silva, all you need to do is your effing job.

You realize that most, if not all of those EOs are going to be put right back into place once Trump is out, right... and that all of his EOs will be reversed. The funniest thing would be if someone like Elizabeth Warren takes the White House and does to Trump what he attempted to do to Obama.
And then there's the failure on getting rid of the ACA. :confusedshrug:

Russia created a lot of headaches for him last time, and given that he has leverage over the Ukraine and Hunter Biden's company had dealings there, that's a better, less costly route.

Just as the Washington Post reported that Ukraine was the subject of the mysterious whistleblower complaint causing a standoff between Congress and the intelligence community, President Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, was appearing on CNN Thursday night. In a heated interview, he first said he didn't ask Ukrainian officials to investigate Joe Biden and his son for bribery and then, less than 30 seconds later, reversed himself and said "of course I did."
Giuliani said he wasn't ordered by Mr. Trump to investigate Biden and didn't inform the president of his investigation until after the fact.
And when pressed on whether Mr. Trump had agreed to provide aid to Ukraine only after it investigated Biden, Giuliani told Cuomo the president has "every right" to tell the president of another country that it would only receive American financial aid once corruption is eliminated.
A couple of options.
1. He doesn't come back to the thread.
2. He comes back but ignores the post and the general details of the issue, instead complaining about TDS while throwing around "orange man bad" and attacking other posters.
3. He dismisses the reporting as "fake news" and goes full whataboutism, likely trying to connect this with Clinton or Obama while throwing in a random "Presidents do this all the time... no big deal."
There's the off chance he acknowledges that this particular incident is problematic... but that's tiny, and doesn't even deserve a "4." bullet point.
Neither of you are wrong. I guess my point was that I don't believe career politician wants to open that door.
Most don't, but I can easily see the next AG going hard... especially since there is a strong public appetite for that right now. And then there are the investigations being conducted by states.
So he's essentially without saying so (although he did in a roundabout way) stating that he's guilty of the charges by saying he can't be investigated for crimes.
So they went from denying, to well if he did so what, to well it's within his rights to talk to whomever about whatever, to well... Yeah f*ck ya'll anyway can't I can't be investigated for crimes.
And the sad part wasn't that Trump simply didn't have one convo with Ukrainian leader about it, but a reported 8 (was it 8?... off the top of my head) and that's what we know and what was heard. It's sad because he was STUPID enough to have these convos where he could be heard knowing full well that he's being investigated for the same shit involving Russia. If Im a MAGA Im exasperated that Im rooting for a troll that is a walking Onion headline, an embarrassment that of an idiot that can't even lie properly or consistently.
