Re: all-time finals MVP leaders NBA history
Just wanted to say this photo needs to have Kareem take the place of Magic as KAJ won the finals MVP in 71 and 85 and in 80 after Magic's great game 6, Kareem had the most votes for this award, but because he was not present the voters were asked to change their votes so Magic would win the award. This is covered in the book "Kareem" pages 140 - 141 and tells what happened from the perspective of one of the voters.
The fact that they EXPECT a rookie Jordan to beat a prime Bird just shows me they think Jordan's the GOAT :oldlol:
Baby LeBron took his team to the finals at the age of 22 so what's baby Jordans excuse for failing to take his team past the first round for 3 consecutive years :confusedshrug:

All time great competition in his conference.
I love how people use this stat as if it's supposed to mean anything now that everyone knows that this only accounted for three playoff series, those being MJ's first three in the league lol.
Im just talking shit to idiots like 3ball who are completely biased and irrational. I actually rank MJ as the GOAT because of his godly scoring ability, mentality, defense and overall package.
pound for pound on the court lebron is every bit as good even though they are completely different as players. lebron is the GOAT of the modern era and the 2nd GOAT overall. MJ will get the GOAT nod because he deserves it.

No the only atg competition was the Celtics and if MJ did a LeBron and won 50 games he wouldn't have to face them in the first round

You're talking out your ass. You have no clue about anything before 5 years ago. Maybe. The 80's East might have been the toughest conference in history. 4 teams winning at least 50 games was the norm. Lebron's conference in 2007 just had 2. The best team in MJ's 80's conference won 60+ games. The best team in LeBron's 2007 East won 53 games. That would have been only good for 4th place in the East in 84/85, 4th place in 85/86 and 3rd place in 86/87.

MJ won 50 games in 88 and ended up facing the Pistons, who would have taken apart the 2007 Cavs. Basically the 88-90 Pistons and 85-87 Celtics would handily beat Lebron's Cavs teams. The only team he faced on that level in the east was the Celtics and he lost to them twice before teaming up with Wade to take them down when the key players were in their mid 30's.

Kawhi can join that 3fmvp group with another one if the season resumes.

kawhi will definitely get another ring with the clippers. in fact I think lebron is destined for another ring as well, making them both the only players to win finals MVPs on three different teams

What with his degenerative quad and knee? He better pray that Paul George stays healthy and Montrezl Harrell stays with the Clippers , he is an UFA after 2020

Kareem was cheated out of the award that he fairly won. He was the reason LA won the other 3 games. 3 games > 1 game and the award should be in Kareem's trophy case. This never happened to any other player and when people start these lists, many do not even know what happened. When the voters are asked and pressured to change their votes, that is fraud. Kareem deserves some respect here, just sayin...

hey man celtics ganged up on him twice so it was only fair that he even the odds. ended up getting a ring the second year they played in 2012 and went 2-2 overall, so miami was a good move.
cant win much with mike brown and mo williams. going from mike brown and mo williams to pat riley and dwyane wade - that's like going from a hyundai to a ferrari.
