The average ISH poster couldn’t draw up a play and not be laughed at by professionals. She played 4 years of SEC ball. She would probably make most of us look stupid talking the ins and outs. Most of ISH can’t identify an offensive concept being run. Bunch of “Lebron ball....Curry ball” know nothings trolling.
She would likely stand out as unusually informed if she tried.
That's great, but that doesn't mean she actually follows the NBA.
You don't just "forget" Anthony Davis who was arguably the best defensive player in the league this year.
What that reeks of is not watching the season, voting anyways and basing said votes off of getting your stats from some stats website, and then accidentally overlooking one of the names.
-
Re: Often controversial fat **** Jason Whitlock in trouble for comments you agree wit
Of course she follows the nba. She’s at games. She’s watching games with nba players. If the only nba games she saw were the ones she hosted studio shows for she would know Anthony Davis.
You don’t think I’ve ever written a list of people and forgot one?
What she did was forgot to proof read and get someone to look it over. I’d have someone read all my shit just to not embarrass myself like that.
-
Re: Often controversial fat **** Jason Whitlock in trouble for comments you agree wit
Alright whatever I don't really feel like getting into it. Like I said, none of their opinions matter anyways.
-
Re: Often controversial fat **** Jason Whitlock in trouble for comments you agree wit
It’s a bad look I’m just saying....there’s no way she doesn’t know Anthony Davis. She was on an SEC basketball show when Davis was SEC player of the year. She had a really public ****up and makes women look bad...but you know she knows him. She probably personally knows him.

I mean, if she looked up the stats and STILL left Davis off, I feel like that would almost be more damning. The reality is, she probably just doesn't take her vote very seriously. Which would be fine, except for the fact that plenty of people DO take these votes seriously, so it shouldn't be hard to find voters who do as well.

I hope you don‘t actually believe that.
Hands in fire she has zero basketball intellect and any average forum poster knows more than her.
Why would she know anything?
Because she played ball?
I have a surprise for you in that case...

Re: Often controversial fat **** Jason Whitlock in trouble for comments you agree wit
The average forum poster is a 25 year old who never played a game with a ref. Yes....actual players who got real coaching know more. All the talk of intellectuals and high/low IQ shit on here is a joke. There aren’t 20 people here with anything to say on a regular basis and half of those get their opinions from a formula.
Most of ISH is delusional about their basketball knowledge. We know facts more than the game.

Maria Taylor actually had the perfect all nba list. Whitlock is a pretty good analyst/writer from what I've seen as well, I like his point here.

It doesn't make women look bad.
It makes her look bad.
And it makes media members look bad.
I literally did not think about her gender until you just brought it up in this post.
Maybe Whitlock said some shit about her gender, IDK, but I didn't see that part, and I don't care.
I don't care about what she has between her legs. I care about what she has between her ears, which isn't much.

what qualifications does it take to become an NBA analyst? pretty much all you have to have is an opinion.
-
Re: Often controversial fat **** Jason Whitlock in trouble for comments you agree wit
The masses want huge men who jump really high and pretty girls in short dresses on the sidelines. Jason Whitlock taking this whole sports thing too seriously. It's pure entertainment otherwise there'd be a lot less money in it.

Re: Often controversial fat **** Jason Whitlock in trouble for comments you agree wit
Jason using his black privilege to tear down a woman with gender privilege. If Jason was a white man you all know damn straight she would be going to town on him but because he is a black man he's basically untouchable.

Maybe she just hates AD :lol
-
Re: Often controversial fat **** Jason Whitlock in trouble for comments you agree wit
She's beautiful and loves basketball what is the problem here?
Because AD got left on the list? Bam is a slight reach but not that much either and the verdict is now out on Embiid that he is not as good as we all thought.
-
Re: Often controversial fat **** Jason Whitlock in trouble for comments you agree wit
There are a lot of beautiful people in the world. It takes more than just that to become very successful. In entertainment everyone is beautiful so you still have to work hard and separate yourself from everyone else.
Whitlock has shown himself to be insecure and envious perhaps?
The question I have is what makes Whitlock more qualified? He was never a player or coach on a level anyone would care about. If you're a fan that watches games on TV a lot you most likely know something about the sport but thre isn't any special insight there. The talking heads are there to entertain and say opinions that get people riled up, which Whitlock himself has to know as he's basically there to be an object of hatred.
what makes him more qualified is that he's been doing this shit since the ****ing 90s and he's 100\5 right about the beauty aspect. Look mat all the moderators on all these sports debate shows, all relatively young, all attractive, they didn't get that position because of knowledge, I'm pretty sure there are 50+-year-old women who know more about sports than them but never get given a job, you know why? Cause they aren't attractive or eye candy. Also not to mention quite a bit of these women literally just sleep their way into certain positions.
I have no problem with women using their looks to get ahead, life is short use every advantage you have to make a good life for yourself but when they start to act like they got where they are because they're so "smart" and not because they're attractive, is when I start to have a problem.
Anyways... he’s right... beauty is a huge privilege. Who cares though? I’m happy to let hot chicks be hot and hot dudes be hot.
Know what else is a huge privilege? Intelligence.
Know what else is a huge privilege? Athleticism.
And down the line it goes.
We don’t earn any of these things. They simply are what they are. You can work to improve them and make the most of the hand you were dealt but your ceiling is your ceiling and there’s no changing that. Privilege exists because humans are unequal. That is the very nature of all forms of life period.
You can either spend your life pissed about other people’s blessings or you can shut the **** up, realize that life isn’t fair, and make the most out of the hand you were dealt by busting your ass.
Both nature and nurture/work impact intelligence, but nature has a far bigger impact, so long as you aren't abused and heavily neglected at an early age.
You don't know what you're talking about. You're literally typing things that are objectively false.

Miss me with that bs, intelligence has more to do with nurture than nature, unless you're born retraded, there's literally no excuses for you to not be smart if you have the resources for it, especially in this digital age of easily accessible information. What part of "what makes Whitlock more qualified than she is" do you not understand? If watching basketball on TV makes you an expert then who isn't an expert? Maria Taylor played in the SEC. That's not as impressive as someone with a long pro career but is far more meaningful than Whitlock getting fat on his couch talking shit about Kobe's wife.

How is it you always remember something I said wrong? This is the post you’re talking about:
.I was riding with my mom and my(17 year old) nice who talked about a gay friend...then said she had 3 pansexual friends as well. My mom was on some serious "WTF?" shit clearly uncomfortable with it and I admit....I had to come home and google it. I figured it was gay straight or bi. I didnt know what the **** pansexual was or that we had so many kids claiming to be it.
The kids now are raised so accepting....almost all these feelings might be gone in 30 years. But my mom looked at her and was shocked. Talked about how gay kids wouldnt admit it in her day like....with pride.
My mother would NEVER sanction the stoning of anyone to be clear...but its that generation and older who came up when saying so wouldnt have been that out of line.
I had some less than liberal thoughts about my niece having a gang of gay and pan sexual and bisexual friends and wondered where all of them came from when we had at best 2 openly gay kids when I was her age...but I kept it to myself.
America is in the "Keep it to yourself" point not a "Nobody thinks anything ****ed up about gays" point.
Followed by:
It pretty much means you will **** whatever. Like....a pansexual guy might be attracted to a lesbian...or pansexual girl might want to be with a gay man. It just means you will be attracted to personality not gender or sexuality even.
What I dont get....why not just call it bi? But ive learned not to go down that path.
Im sure she would have explained it to me like im an idiot though. SHe straight up has at least 5 gay and pansexual friends...then bi friends who ARENT pansexual. I dont get it....but im not supposed to I guess. That isnt my generation.
But if its like that at Hillcrest high in South Carolina I cant imagine whats going on in more liberal areas..
Where do you see anything even close to what you’re talking about?
