Re: Joel Embiid allegedly threw a punch at a reporter
center Joel Embiid has been suspended three games without pay for shoving a member of the media, the NBA announced on Tuesday.
The suspension will begin with the next regular season game Embiid is eligible and able to play in.
More rest for the big fella and his knees :applause:
Even if the Sixers lose every game till he comes back at least they are still better than Doc and the Bucks
Re: Joel Embiid allegedly threw a punch at a reporter
This is the kind of potential crap I was worried would come Embiid's way. I don't like him getting suspended at all it's just the outcome that you can see coming because of how the NBA and other such organizations deal with incidents in the modern era. It's not a major punishment (he won't miss the money and can just pretend to want to return sooner for the suspension) but he's definitely come out worse for this exchange.

I read the guy goaded Embiid.
Embiid later said that he doesn’t care what reporters say. “But you do,” Hayes answered.
Time for the team to magically declare Embiid is ready to play so he can miss his three games then go back to sitting again. :oldlol:

There were a few close calls when Lakers fans almost pulled him across that line with westbrick

It's still a privilege others don't have, threaten someone with violence and get physical in civ life and missing work for a few days is the least of your worries.

If some anonymous guy insults someone else and a punch gets thrown there's a good chance their bosses never hear about it and if they do the boss could well do nothing about it at all. The boss of some guy moving furniture has little or no public pressure to do anything about a (kind of understandable) fist fight. There might have been a thousand fights yesterday. We aren't talking about any of them. The fame help in some ways but not all ways.
