Re: ESPN's Around The Horn goes out with a whimper, dies on the woke mountain
I have three kids, all played sports for lots of reasons, for entertainment, exercise, teamwork, ect.
It's the final score that is meaningless. It's the difference in the general American life that is nothing. What happens in some random girls sport means little them, and absolutely nothing at all to me or you. This subject is literally just meaningless tribal fodder for those who suffer political internet addiction.
It's only been reduced to "fodder" because the push back was harsh and severe. It wasn't always like this. Several years back some of this stuff wasn't up for debate and you could be punished for not complying.
Had the woke cult kept gaining ground, the end goal would have eventually resulted in the total abolishment of legally allowed male and female only spaces. Because if you can't exclude trans people on the soccer field, or in the locker room, or at school, or at work, or on social media, or in prison... then you're basically saying you want to live in a totally genderless society.
That is creepy, weird and disturbing. And it would totally undo society as we know it.
Why do you want to live in a genderless society?? Again I'm seriously asking here.

This is called a strawman. Saying the Gov should not regulate our sports =/= genderless society.
If a sports league wants to exclude trans, that's 100% fine. If they want to include trans that is also 100% fine. It's their game. Let them decide the rules to their own game.

So as a member of society you don't have any personal stake in this? Lol. You don't care if we live in a genderless society or not? Since there's no commonly agreed upon definition, I guess everyone just gets to declare what a boy or girl is on their own in your ideal scenario?
To normal people that sounds like the basis for a horror movie, but for Bill Gates it's 100% fine.

Genderless society? How many trans people do you personally know? My kids all played sports, this issue didn't come up even once. Out of literally thousands of games. Basketball, soccer, baseball, softball.
Also, society would still have the same amount of them if they played sports or not lol. Use logic.

Are you using logic? In the last 10 years we've seen the number of people who identify as trans increase a hundred fold. You think that happened by accident? You don't think the mainstream promotion of transgenderism had anything to do with that?
Trans athletes are the minority for the time being but the goal of the movement has always been to encourage more people and more kids to come out as trans, therefore your argument is totally moot and we have to draw a hard line in the sand before that number increases.
But hey since it's really just about numbers to you and not some underlying principle, how many male players would you allow on a WNBA roster? I'm sure there are plenty of guys coming out of college who fell just short of making the NBA who would love the chance to travel and play professionally.
So how many male players on each team would you allow? One? Two? How many is too many?

This.
But far left libs are calling it “evolution”
The fact that 1 out of 5 kids identify as LGBTQ is not the type of progress going in the right direction. They’d love to see that number grow to 1 out of every 3.
This is an issue of morals, not sports… and we are not here to celebrate and promote mental illness which is what these gender issues are really about: mental health.
If you have the choice for your child to be gay or straight… the common far left liberal answer is that it doesn’t matter…. But any straight man saying that is full of shit, you’d want your child to be straight if you had any common sense…. But now we’re going even further than that and supporting gender affirming care for minors which is absolutely ridiculous.
Yes, a hard line in the sand has to be drawn.

1 out 5 don't identify as that. The questionnaire is misleading.
Go to a grocery store, a mall, a sporting event, anything, you'll be lucky to see ONE trans person. In an entire high school there might be 2 or 3.
How many trans people do you know? Answer please. Every time I ask that question it gets ignored. Do you work with any? Do your kids know any? I mean, if it's 1 out 5 they would be everywhere right?

Why does it matter how many there are? We're not against boys in girls sports as it pertains to numbers, we're against it in theory and in principle. It doesn't matter if it's one boy on the girl's team or five. One is too many.
I couldn't help but notice you dodged my question before so I will pose it to you again. Since it's really just about numbers to you, how many male players do you think should be allowed in the WNBA? Are you okay with one male player per team? Two male players? Three?

Chicken or the egg situation, as always.
There are of course certain issues with the way it is portrayed for children but not to the level I think some believe there are. The Millennial numbers tell you more than anything else here. In 2014 the youngest millennials were what, 16-17? And it's doubled since then? That tells me that people are now simply more people willing (and proud I guess) to come out because most were then adults.
In college one of my girlfriend's (now wife's) good friends was gay and hearing him tell stories at the time you'd be shocked at the amount of "straight" fraternity dudes at the University of Georgia had secret hook-ups with him. Less ashamed to admit it these days I suppose. Particularly with an anonymous poll.
Also, is that poll directed at a certain population? Who's answering it?
Again, not to say there aren't issues but those viewing that increase purely as indoctrination or whatever don't know the whole picture.

It's funny you bring this up actually because I always maintained the alphabet soup grouping is totally unnecessary. The "Q" pretty much covers them all. Ask most people on that side of the fence and they'll tell you that "queer" is an umbrella term for pretty much anyone that doesn't identify as heterosexual or cisgender. Therefore they should either go with LGBT or they should just go with Q, because combining them is redundant.
Imagine there were another LGBT group but it stood for members of European countries. Lithuanians, Germans, Bosnians and Turks... only then some genius decided that it would be called LGBTE and the E would stand for European. Lol what would be the point in that?

How many trans people do you interact with Dooms? I live in Seattle and it's rare to see one here. So I know it's rare in Texas. But you guys try to sell this retarded notion that all of society is now genderless. What a joke. Anyone can just walk outside to see that's compete nonsense.

I've addressed this issue several times... several....
Liberals tend to argue that everyone in the LGBTQ community is "born that way".... you'd have to be foolish to believe that.
The environment didn't have anything to do with it?
If society is keeps on encouraging this behavior, the entertainment industry keeps on celebrating it, and everyone keeps on saying there is nothing wrong with it... more & more homosexual children is going to be the result.
And now... here we are doing the same thing with the trans movement.

Excellent point.
The number of unarmed black people killed by police each year represents a microscopic fraction of the total number of police killings, but Bill Gates and his ilk were perfectly fine with "peaceful protestors" wreaking havoc for months on end in the name of ending racism and police brutality.
In fact standing up for black people was so important to them, they were willing to risk spreading Covid over it. Mind you this was when the alpha strain was circulating which was the deadliest strain and we were several months away from getting a vaccine.
I mean just look at these super spreader events.

Your question is irrelevant... because it does not matter how many trans people I encounter or interact with on a daily basis, but I have noticed they've become more & more common.
I simply do not support Transgenderism... But because I don't support Transgenderism or Homosexuality... that must mean I hate these people right?
Go on any dating website... scroll through 100 profiles, and one of them will read "I'm a transgender"... and that's the DFW area.
And yes, my children do see them at their schools they attend.
But who made the transgender issue an issue to begin with? Liberals or Conservatives?
It's not like Conservatives suddenly and randomly said to themselves: "These tranny's have got to be stopped!!!"
Liberals FORCED the issue on the masses... and America responded. Simple as that.
If you're going to have Pride Night at a Baseball game... and you bring these people out:

I'm not gonna celebrate that $hit, neither is America.... There is nothing to be proud about that.
These people should have the same amount of pride that I have whenever I watch porn... which is ZERO.

Yea, that's perfectly normal. These are exactly the types of things I want my children to see on a regular basis.
In my opinion we aren't celebrating and promoting this stuff enough right?

It may be a small percentage of the population... let's hope it stays that way.
Forgive me for not rallying behind gender affirming care for minors or any of this mental illness.

If we continue to say there is nothing wrong with it... Then more of it is what you get.
But that's the message Liberals continue to preach to their kids... "Nothing wrong with it."
At what point do you start to say there is something wrong with that?
Bill Maher, a hardcore Democrat finally said something.... but none of the liberals on insidehoops are able to do the same.
Maybe... just maybe... there is an issue with Too Much Pride on the Left Side?
can't admit to being wrong? Take a page out of the Bill Maher playbook and swallow your pride for once...
You don't have to leave the Democratic Plantation... but Jesus Christ, please stop supporting insanity.

Trans people do not affect my life in any way shape or form, therefor I do not care what they do. I rarely ever see them, and I live in liberal Seattle.
Aren't you guys supposed to be the ones that support "FREEDOM"? But you're ready to have a gay holocaust because people won't live their life the way you want them to. There is a word for that, it's called fascism.

Okay then answer the question, which has already been posed to you twice.
How many male players should each WNBA team be allowed to have?
