Why does it matter how many there are? We're not against boys in girls sports as it pertains to numbers, we're against it in theory and in principle. It doesn't matter if it's one boy on the girl's team or five. One is too many.

There are of course certain issues with the way it is portrayed for children but not to the level I think some believe there are. The Millennial numbers tell you more than anything else here. In 2014 the youngest millennials were what, 16-17? And it's doubled since then? That tells me that people are now simply more people willing (and proud I guess) to come out because most were then adults.

In college one of my girlfriend's (now wife's) good friends was gay and hearing him tell stories at the time you'd be shocked at the amount of "straight" fraternity dudes at the University of Georgia had secret hook-ups with him. Less ashamed to admit it these days I suppose. Particularly with an anonymous poll.

It's funny you bring this up actually because I always maintained the alphabet soup grouping is totally unnecessary. The "Q" pretty much covers them all. Ask most people on that side of the fence and they'll tell you that "queer" is an umbrella term for pretty much anyone that doesn't identify as heterosexual or cisgender.
