That’s a very interesting development. The biggest argument against it is if you were to crash the plane intentionally, I can’t imagine you’d try immediately after take off. You would do it mid air when the copilot’s left the cockpit.
I believe you can still lock the other pilot out completely like that Germanwings flight.
