Re: You know I used to have Bird above Magic but man...
No, Bird and Magic simply played with better talent relative to their eras. Magic isn't even a discussion, he was drafted to a stacked team and literally stayed in college an extra year to get to the Lakers. You didn't even mention Kareem...
Bird's team wasn't quite as stacked as the Lakers, but still a very talented team in their era.
Jokic hasn't had a squad like those ever.
Magic did not stay in college an extra year to get to the Lakers. Bird did stay in college after being drafted to Boston to finish his college education. Magic went to a 47 win team, a playoff team and to a team that had the best player in the world in Kareem. Bird went to a 29 win team. As a rookie with a new coach in Bill Fitch and 1 other player to the roster in ML Carr and a healthier Nate Archibald, Boston won 61 games = a 32 game turnaround. The very next year brought Parish and McHale and a ring. When DJ arrived = Boston was stacked.
Casuals would argue that magic still has "more rings" when comparing who's better or more skilled between the two.

Only a low IQ Bronie Fluffer, such as yourself, would think that you can rank players based on a single data point.
Probably why you were voted dumbest poster in ISH history. :confusedshrug:
Not sure lakers were more stacked. Rambs pribably doesnt make the celts. Mchale came off the bench initially
Rambis would be chosen to stay over Greg Kite. Yeah they played different positions but Kite was frickin' stiff.

Probably not. Kite was a 1st rounder who rebounded and defended when they had to go to him

Just because he was a first rounder doesnt mean he wasn't a career bum. Rambis was easily the more talented player during the time frame you're talking about.

Before walton he was their 3rd center which was important on a 12 man roster in a league that was about post play. He was in the league over a decade for a reason. Not hard to imagine him in the league today as a rim protector. Rambis a bit harder to imagine. He would have been behind mchale, bird, maxwell, carr, wedman, walton...
