The explanation for that could be that Barkley wears bigger shoes now for support due to his 300 plus pound frame.

However that theory doesn't hold up in these pictures of Chuck barefoot on Inside The NBA. Kenny Smith is listed 6'3" so he's probably in the 6'1"-6'2" range and Chuck has him by 4-5 inches.

I think Chuck is lying I mean he's 6'8" or 6'7" against a real height chart in shoes and then he looks like a legit 6'6" barefoot.

Chuck is only 45 so he probably hasn't shrunk and he looks taller now than he did during his playing career...even barefoot.

I assumed that he meant Nique, Dr. J, and Magic have all shrunk due to age.

One of the pictures of Dr. J is from the 90's when he was in his 40's and the other is from his playing career during the mid 80's when he was in his 30's. He didn't shrink that early. Nique and Magic are also only a few years older than Barkley.

Artest, Arenas, and Pippen all look nice. The rest of them look sad. :(
