even back in 2019 it was vote confirmed?
kobe wanted to chase stats. He spent most games shooting his team out of games. Just not an efficient player
on any other team he would have been looked upon for what he really is. an overrated shot chaser. But because of the huge Los Angeles media he was glorified and hyped for being better than he actually was, falsely.
it's all false hype and nothing more
I liked Larry Bird a lot more than kobe. A far smarter player and a better shooter, much more efficient, better team player, better at all the intangible things needed for team success
Larry Bird has a mystique to him, something special. kobe to me is nothing like that. I could see right through the false LA hype machine
If I were a player, I'd love Larry Bird on my team, and would hate kobe on my team

That Kobe was still considered better?
LeBron Raymone James

Kobe more titles in the same amount of years without stacking the deck despite both playing with Shaq.
“The City of Angels is mine!”

Guess I hit a nerve also didn't say anything wrong though now did I.
I once thought that Lebron was better but the ones that know more about b-ball have showed me its the opposite. Kobe was better.

:biggums:
this from a Barkley stan is ironic given that Kobes only argument would heavily decrease Barkleys ranking :lol

I think players are typically swayed more towards guys with the "bag" that we've been speaking so much about recently. Guys like Arenas and Tmac who were tasked with guarding him 1-on-1 are typically going to have a different overall opinion of him as a player because of how difficult and daunting that task was. Lebron of course has a different style and his impact on the game was different.
I'm not saying that I personally think that one is better than the other but I can see why a lot players would choose the former guy.
It's Kobe.
Kobe has more rings. Lebron has 6 Finals losses.
Kobe is the way more accomplished two-way player. Lebron has only 5 seasons as 1st-Team All-Defensive. Kobe has 12.
Lebron's advanced numbers are only as good as they are because his offensive game is so incredibly limited all he can do well is shoot at the rim. Move Lebron out away from the basket and his shooting numbers drop.
Lebron Kobe
3-10 ft - .424 .437
10-16 ft - .367 .430
16-3 pt - .386 .402
3-pt - .345 .329
Lebron shot at the basket 35% of the time for his career compared to Kobe's 22%. Lebron's numbers are as efficient as they are because of this.
