Re: *****All-Time NBA Players Peak Draft*****
Not on the court...you've got a big three that at the end of their careers were contending for titles. Kobe is always going to be a problem but I'm matching him with Jerry and Wilt...the most athletic center of all-time and his mentor. And both of those men changed their style of play based on whom they were playing with.
They were contending and mostly losing in the 60s, early 70s
It's true Wilt changed his game later as more of a distributor, but his peak was in the early 60s. other than maybe Jerry there's no great outside threat, and a lot of ball dominant guys who aren't particularly great passers... so the complimentary skills aren't great outside of the high usage scoring
Plus Barkley is a liability on D at a premium position
Just my 2 cents. Not trying to hate
Re: *****All-Time NBA Players Peak Draft*****
True...but if you are taking Reggie Miller in the fifth round and Kyle Korver...Pete was one of the true great shooters
I was just speaking on that posters pick. He said he wanted some one one can play D and shoot 3s.

The guy that before he was the logo was known as "Mr Outside" wasn't an outside threat

I said other than Jerry, and there wasn't a 3pt line in his day so we don't know how could he'd be. I certainly give him the benefit of the doubt though

Imstillballin on the clock
Re: *****All-Time NBA Players Peak Draft*****
My last pick is Michael Cooper. The perfect 3&D player that rounds out my team perfectly.
Shaquille O'Neal // Patrick Ewing
Bill Russell // Karl Malone
Scottie Pippen // Shane Battier
Reggie Miller // Michael Cooper
Steve Nash // Mark Price
Re: *****All-Time NBA Players Peak Draft*****
Going ABA with my final pick. Probably the most underrated center ever, especially on the defensive end.
Artis Gilmore.
- 1972 ABA MVP (Over Rick Barry & Julius Erving)
- 1975 ABA Champion
- 5x All-ABA First Team
- 4x All-ABA Defensive First Team (1 all-defensive team in the NBA)
- 11x All-Star (5 in the ABA. 6 in the NBA)
- 4x ABA rebounding champ
His team ranked 2nd to worst in defense the year before he got there in 1971. In '72, Gilmore in his rookie year anchored them to a #1 defense and 68 wins (44 wins the year before). In his 5 years in the ABA, his team ranked #1 on defense 3 times, the other 2 times they ranked #2. Massive defensive impact in his prime, also extremely efficient on offense, always around 55 fg%.
C - D. Robinson | A. Gilmore
F . R. Wallace | C. Bosh
F - Kawhi | Pierce
G - MJ | R. Allen
G - Stockton | W. Frazier

Re: *****All-Time NBA Players Peak Draft*****
Last pick of the draft...Who gets in? Deep divin' right now boys. Uno momento
Re: *****All-Time NBA Players Peak Draft*****
Danny Green is a good pick if you need a 3&D swingman. Rick Barry I don't think has been taken yet either.
Re: *****All-Time NBA Players Peak Draft*****
I'm stuck on Glen Rice and Vince Carter at the moment. Deep diving...

I was thinking good shooter that can go off (like Rice or Carter). Green's scoring is too limited and Rick Barry I thought about too but he can't shoot 3s and is a bit of a ball hog :lol
Re: *****All-Time NBA Players Peak Draft*****
Thinking about just polling ISH to which has the best team, maybe have two separate groups, winner of each group meets in the championship for another poll. 9 teams won't really work if we do team vs team matchups.

Green is also pretty streaky and overrated as a defender. Good thoughts

I think either way I'll be penalized cause people hate me on here lol.
If anyone has a real gm account they could post the teams and they would give an unbiased vote/ranking
