Likely that the Jazz are hunting three-point shots more frequently than they did last season, which may result in the team passing up some decent looks at the rim for more three-point shots.
which isn't necessarily a good thing. A dunk is still the most effective shot in the game and they got the best in the game to do it
The Jazz haven’t been over the luxury tax until this season, so that’s a good start. The Jazz could still get under the luxury tax this year by trimming a few million dollars off their salary and give themselves more breathing room in future seasons to avoid the repeater tax.
which seems unlikely unless they trade one of their core guys which hopefully Bojan will be gone

https://saltcityhoops.com/an-honest-look-at-conleys-all-star-chances/
But here’s the problem: a lot of guys deserve to be All-Stars. That’s the case every year: 12 spots isn’t enough to recognize all of the brilliant play and positive impact across 15 Western Conference teams.
no only 12 do. The problem is guys make it that don't deserve it
2020 All-Stars Donovan Mitchell, Chris Paul* and Devin Booker are all likely to repeat.
and none deserve it over Conley. No one does really
(*You can quibble with CP3 based on declining stats, but coaches love those emeritus picks, and even though his raw numbers are down slightly, he’s exactly the kind of superstar who often makes it in based on résumé. Also, any counting stats argument you make against Paul (15-5-9) also weakens Conley’s case (17-4-6). The argument for both of those guys is centered on overall impact, not raw numbers.)
mostly based on numbers and hype
The Mitchell/Conley argument is actually kind of fascinating. One is a more traditional type of star with big numbers and highlight plays, while the other has powered the Jazz with the smarts and intangibles behind his league-leading plus/minus. But let’s be honest: Mitchell is going to be the default choice if Western Conference coaches vote for only one Utah guard. His production is basically identical to last season’s, and he’s the guy opposing coaches are primarily game-planning for when they prepare to face Utah’s top-5 offense. So if Conley makes it, it will likely be as a third Jazz All-Star, not by supplanting Mitchell.
sad but true
He deserves it and it will be sad when he doesn't make it

https://www.ksl.com/article/50097730/move-over-john-joe-ingles-moves-past-stockton-to-become-jazzs-all-time-3-point-leader
Ingles reaching the top of Utah's all-time list shows how much the game has changed in recent years. Stockton played 19 seasons and was a career 38% 3-point shooter, including shooting 40% from three in seven different seasons. But the most threes he ever averaged per game was 2.8 (a year he shot 44% from deep). Ingles, who is nearly a 41% career 3-point shooter, has had three seasons, including the current, where he's attempted over five threes per game. That's just a bit more volume.
Not only has the game changed but Stockton was unselfish to a fault which Ingles and O'Neale have had a problem with too I guess
All the stats say the Jazz are currently the best team in the league, and the eye test confirmed that on Friday.
not until they beat the Lakers
Bogdanovic shot just one 3-pointer in Utah's win over Dallas on Wednesday. To head coach Quin Snyder and the rest of the Jazz, that number was unacceptable. Yes, he has struggled this year at times, but he's coming off the best season of his career. And the only way to get back to that level is to keep shooting.
the best way would be to bench him and reduce his minutes until he earns them back
Re: 2020-21 Regular season- The tax team
https://kslsports.com/452196/452196/
It was effective, and Dallas closed the Jazz lead from 27 to as little as 14 in the quarter. Though ultimately it didn’t matter, this is where Mitchell has enormous value for the Jazz as some who can create his own shot.
Clarkson does it even better sad to say
Mike Conley can do it for stretches, Jordan Clarkson can too, but neither player can do it as frequently as Mitchell.
they both do it more effectively
Morgan finished the game with 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. The second-year big man also connected on 2-4 three-pointers, though he did foul out in 21 minutes.

start him!
“It does bode well for us when we know that guys like Don can miss a few games and we can still win, and especially with Fav out,” Mike Conley said after the Jazz beat the Mavericks, 120-101, Friday. “It’s tough to lose those guys, not have them, but for us to come out and play against a good team, and not only just a good team but two times in a row, and come out with wins, just says a lot about our team and our resiliency.”
I think it shows how overrated both are. If they lose Rudy, Conley or Royce things don't go so well. Also Morgan should probably start anyway
Morgan played an amazing game, but he also fouled out with a little under two minutes left in the game. He’s still a pretty raw player and that’s going to happen when you don’t get a lot of playing time so it’s not terrible, especially in a blowout, but it’s worth noting.
let's note it when he's playing enough for it to matter
Early in the fourth quarter, Gobert pump-faked while in the left corner and there was a split second where everyone in the building thought he was going to shoot a 3. He did not, but I wish he had. When you’re leading by 25 points in the fourth quarter you can do that! I think we all deserve to see it happen.

so much they couldn't give him up for Conley
Drummond and Rudy are the only active players with a marginal chance of reaching his numbers but they will need to remain amongst the top rebounders late in their 30ies, it’s not a given.
Rudy is also 5th in blocks amongst Jazz players and should pass Malone for 4th this season, and probably Ostertag and Kirilenko next season.
Then Mark Eaton is a tough nut to crack, 4th all time.
