Yes. The president hinting at when to buy or sell in the stock market before an announcement is market manipulation.
No difference than a CEO of a company telling you when to buy and sell before announcing major events that will influence the price of their stock.

Like him or not, but think about it: Trillions of dollars and the whole world hangs on the lips of one man. This isn't healthy in the long run.

Keep in mind I don't really care. Looking at markets day-to-day and celebrating based on which side of the political aisle you're on is about as childish AND pointless as it gets.
BUT...the president of the United Stated isn't "someone".
He knows he's going to announce a 90-day tariff pause (whether its true or not who knows; I'm skeptical) and advises people to buy the dip just before said announcement? Seems like damage control to me :confusedshrug:

Here's some novel advice: buy the dip, it's a good recommendation oppose to buying the spike
If I were betting on it (I am not) I would bet that there will be a large selloff tomorrow.
Once people realize that all Trump did was delay all the grief for 90 days, he didn't end it.
Although tomorrow could come with it's own new surprises, as it seems every day does now.
I am not sure how any business is supposed to plan around all this craziness.

That's a big leap on your end. The fake news was that tariffs would be paused for 90 days, while the real news was that they would be lowered to 10% for 90 days and raised to 125% for China.
Relief is a feeling that comes after worry, and if you'd paid attention to what I wrote in my posts in the last few days you should've been able to figure out that I wasn't and am not worried. Like when I tried to explain to you and OTC that money isn't something that disappears or gets "wiped out", but literally a pool of credits that grows larger every year and every time there's a big selloff, the credits goes back to accounts of hedgefunds where their job is to find the next time where they can once again turn on their buy algorithms.
You seem very worried and nervous about the value of your stocks though, so I'll give you a couple of quick tips:
1) Don't invest in S&P500. In any given year the majority of growth in this index is driven by a few companies, if you move your money around and invest in these instead of the whole index, which includes a bunch of stagnant companies and some who are going down and on the way out of the S&P5000, you get much better returns.
"You can't beat the market" is nothing but a negative cliche made up to convince people not to try.
2) If you think the S&P500 is about to go down, just buy some VIX calls and stress less.
