Mid-range SCORER (as opposed to strictly mid-range shooter) has to be Jordan, followed closely by Bird. Both were able to work on or off the ball, pull-up, post-up, use defenders' vision and momentum against them, and just had an unparalleled feel for when and how to get shots off in the mid-range area.
After that I'd say Kobe, Dirk, Pierce (Paul and Ricky), Vinnie Johnson.
Probably Bird, MJ, Dirk and Oscar for top4 then it's hard to tell, even before it is. You got dudes like Gervin, Nash, West, Kobe, Durant right now also Curry, McAdoo, Pistol, Rick Barry, Rip Hamilton, Pierce... English was a beast from close, it's outside of the paint so I guess you'd call it mid-range, he was just insane from there even though he didn't have that much range, similar for King, at his peak his jumper from close was virtually unstoppable.

Well said. Good drop on Ricky Pierce and Vinnie Johnson, underrated players.. That reminds me of Eddie Johnson, another great 6th man and great shooter.
Gott'a give Chris Paul a shout out. He's pretty good with his midrange. This year he is having a bad year with only 43%. Prior to this season, he was averaging 49% at the mid range. He had years above 45%. Usually he average 47% at the midrange.
MJ, Durant

I know, it was a close choice, went with Chris because i just so happened to catch his peak a bit in the early 90s... the guy was nothing but midrange jumpshots... some seasons you would rarely even see him take 3PT shots (unlike Dirk)... it was all midrange... up to 27 ppg... up to 54% FG.... hence at his peak i think he might have been more productive from midrange than Dirk....
