Kobe is actually 6-5 but It doesn't really matter how tall magic is, if your half a foot taller than other point guards, no need to be any taller. and if hes 6-7 or 6-9 hes still at least half a foot taller than everyone.

Last night local Dallas sports guys were on TV and one of them said that Brandon Bass is not 6'8 as listed but really 6'6.
NBA players have false heights listed ALL the time.
Hell, ALL major athletic team sports seem to. In high school, my playing size magically gained two inches and thirty pounds on gameday.
Kobe isn't 6'6....he's more like 6'4. I don't think Magic is 6'9 either...probably closer to 6'7
Thread ought to be closed. All these superstars have their heights exaggerated an inch or two to make them seem larger than life.
Known fact.

These are the reason. Just like AI isn't 6"0 either. More like 5"10.
Magic is not 6`9 he is a bit taller thank Pippen, who is 6`7 1/2
He is around 6`7 3/4 and 6`8 and also naturally very bulky so that makes him seem bigger sometimes

Bass is 6"6 without shoes, and 6"7 1/4th in shoes.
A lot of the heights on NBA.com are those with shoes, we now have access to Draft measurements, so there isn't as much guessing with heights.
Dude, IMO oppinion TMac isn't the one throwing the pic off. Why the hell is Magic there at all, let alone rocking a current Lakers jersey? Now if he had on an old school I would almost understand, but yea, there is the addition of TMac.
it was obviously an all-star photoshoot. magic was a participant in the nba shooting stars contest that year with the lakers.
Guys are always obsessing over an inch or two!
Kobe is 7 "2..what are you guys talking about??

Age and weight have probably taken a bit of a toll on magics height.
So how tall was..........E. Boykins?

No homo?
So how tall was..........E. Boykins?
Basically, take whatever he's listed at and subtract an inch and a half.
So if Kobe is 6'4 then Wade must be 6'2??
Jordan and Kobe are both 6'6
People have just got to stop posting pictures for height. Its just stupid. Has no one seen Lord Of The Rings? Do you really think they hired midgets and giants to play the roles????? Kobe's not as tall as MJ eitehr.

If it was obvious I woulda...f*ck it. Thanks for answering my question. Still don't know why they'd randomly snap a flick of 2 All Stars and an old niqqa (Magic is my dude so don't trip) who was in some bullsh*t Saturday night competition. But thanks all the same.
