Yeah, I lost you guys b/c you're simply not on my level in these debates/discussions.
you can really divide this question into two questions.
you can have importance in the formative years, and importance in the established hip-hop genre.
obviously the guys who were responsible for creating hip-hop are more important than the people who came afterwards in a historical sense. because without them, the succeeding generations would never have even become hip-hop artists.
however the succeeding artists have been more instrumental in popularizing hip-hop.

You're not making any sense... but from what I gathered from that, you said LOJ's opinion is top tier without question, etc. then all good. That is right, and should be.
ISH isn't my entire life... believe you me, life is well and far beyond these ISH hallways... but when I'm at a PC be it work or at home, then yes, ISH is my haven and I willl use it as my playground if I feel the need to do so.
You don't like that, then go away.
To discredit Master P and the No Limit camp as nothing in the game of rap is haterish and backpackerish all day.
I asked why Master P is up there and the reasons he listed were all basically $. My hate? I actually like some of his songs, you silly wackjob. My problem is that he was quantity-over-quality. Where did I say his camp was nothing? Oh, I guess you have to completely make shit up. Mother****er trying to be a White Knight for Master P... Really? Master P? That's who you want to launch a crusade for? You gonna make me say Uhh!? You got the hook up? Should I holla if I hear you?
No one argues Master P was superbly talented or an emcee, etc steez, but to ignore his impact and how he came into the industry and 'wrecked shit' (for lack of a better term/description) is just being a dumbass, which isn't surprising coming from you.
O rly? His impact on how to make money puts him in the top 10 for being the most important? I don't give a shit if he made crappy direct-to-video movies, how he became a crappy sports agent, or how he made a boatload of money off of boatload of crappy songs. I want someone who contributed quality and whose influence is felt in a much deeper way and not someone who showed how you can make money off of mediocrity.
When you try and add your $0.02 in these rap debates, it almost always comes off like some redneck who occasionally had their white trash ear open to hear a little rebel rap music here and there; which commonly highly praises the Wu Tang clan and outside of that, doesn't really know anything of the subject and would be much better off just not engaging in discussions.
You know what? You're like Starface in this regard. You try to apply these ignorant labels and make all these wild assumptions that are waaaay off the mark. And, you know, it's cute little kids like you like to play dress up and act like you're the leading authority on a subject and that nobody else has the knowledge they have, so they just best not even post on the subject because they just ain't on the level. Get over yourself and grow up. Nobody appointed a delusional, self-righteous, ignorant buffoon like you to decide who can and can't post about hip hop. It's funny that you feel your opinion is so important and valued to make such comments.
Your type is so sickening. Just please, please keep your opinions out of these discussions. Pathetic.
You ignorantly ramble pretending like you know anything about me, but it's my type that is so sickening? I barely even said anything in these 2 threads and you're doing nothing but making up all these assumptions based upon a couple sentences. LOL at wackass clowns like you thinking it's cool to tell others not to post in precious threads like this one. "Don't post in such a sacred thread like this questioning Supreme Hip Hop Legend Master P!" **** you and the whore you rode in on.

I can see LICE in your head right now :)
This is a big fail for me since you dont have two most influential MCs ever, Rakim and KRS One.
Who's your top ten?
You can't have Tupac without having Biggie mentioned
Who's your top ten?
I'm not going to post my top ten, but most influential are Faggs like Eminem,Gay Z, Lil Wayne, Soulja.... etc they have destroyed good hip hop and thats the most influential thing as there can be.
Soldier boy. He managed to make every tom, dick and harry think they can rap. :oldlol: You can't put tupac in the list and not add BIG. The east/west coast battles changed hip hop forever.
