Fan Voted, which means its entirely worthless.
The fans are, for the most part, young and unaware. If you pay attention to basketball and don't get caught up in media hype, then it's easy to see the answer.
Who? Tim Duncan? I'm still not seeing how Shaq is #1 through the decade.
The only thing people should be upset about is LeBron finishing second.
Kobe winning was pretty much a given.
It is all just a ridiculous popularity contest, rather than being based on skill. Duncan getting **** all votes in the Player of the Decade poll?!?
Voting for the All-Star starters made sense when it was done at arenas, but internet and text voting made Iverson a starter this year.
I have nothing against Iverson, it is more the fact that prestige and true recognition is being sucked out of most of the awards in the NBA and placing them in the hands of the most popular/highly marketed players. When this era is looked back on, people who didn't see it are going to see the record books andand have a very skewed idea of what really happened. It is getting out of hand.
/rant.
Why is it so bad that fans vote on stuff? Do we honestly HAVE to care?
Let them vote on everything they want. I can come to my own conclusions just fine.
art thou enraged? :lol
100% agree with you there man, peoples favourite players are getting credited not the players who deliver during the course of the season/playoffs. STOP THAT SHIT!
Wow, you really shouldn't take this so seriously.

Either. The TNT guys made a good point about Shaq. A lot of people didn't think he had it in him when he won it in 06. Yeah, Wade went crazy but I think it says a lot that Shaq left a championship caliber team and almost immediately won another title. Combine that with being the most dominant player most of us have ever seen (and definitely of the decade), and you can definitely make a case.
It just goes to show you just how stupid humanity can be.
i see alot of u white folks mad.
well.......stay mad.
Kobe should be like the standard for every human being. he should be the ideal person for every children to grow up to be.
Gosh what a winner he is.
lets pray we can have a second coming of him in the future.:pimp:
You can make a case for all 3.
If this was 1995 to 2005, I'd give it to Shaq no problem.

Easy: Corniness + terrible jokes + getting mad for meaningless things
What am I supposed to assume?
