Re: Are women ALLOWED to play in the NBA?
I would contend that the most athletic female players, could conceivably match up with the least athletic males. Athleticism isn't the only reason that females haven't been signed.
The least athletic player in the NBA would be getting 30/20 and dunking on everyone in the WNBA. Brian Scalibrine would destroy their entire league. This is a fact. That's why they don't play in the NBA. You really think an NBA coach, whose job security is entirely tied into wins and losses, would rather lose his job than bring in a woman who he knew would make his team better?
This argument is silly.

This argument is silly.
There are women that can run the 100 meter, in 10.5 seconds. There are women that can bench 400 pounds, squat 600 pounds. Not very many NBA can do those things. Are you seriously suggesting that there isn't 1 women, who has the athletic ability, to play a bench role in the NBA? That's nonsense.

What female has benched 400? Ben Wallace only maxed out at 420.

Re: Are women ALLOWED to play in the NBA?
It would be awesome to see a woman try to post up a NBA player

if there is such a woman, she would have to start her way in the d-league first before we can think about her in the NBA. but no there isnt a single woman player ever that i can think of that can play in the NBA. even in the most limited role. even a preseason roster spot.

They have a bench suit though. And they are all on steroids.

Ok....now which woman running a 10.5 is 6'0+ with NBA-caliber bball skills? The best female basketball players are in the WNBA. Who among them has this kind of athletic ability?
There might be a woman out there that could do well as an NBA team's sixth man but I have no idea who she is, and neither do you.

But they could fold you into a ball, and throw you through a basketball hoop.
Re: Are women ALLOWED to play in the NBA?
Im not saying based on skill level could they but are they even allowed? I mean they have WNBA, which is only for women, so is NBA only for men or no? What exactly does it mean national basketball association?
I think there isn't any rule that says the can't but there is a rule that says that men can't play in the WNBA. I think it is one of those unwritten rules that says that they can't:lol

These are records. These women are freaks. And out of those women, how many can actually play? Hulk Hogan benched 550 in his prime, but that's freakish. A guy that can bench even 350 is considered pretty strong. 400 for a guy is approaching freakish.
And remember that only .5% of the population can bench double their weight. Just finding a woman that weighs considerably over 200 pounds of muscle is quite difficult.
