Pretty good read, this is from last month in the period following his Lakers workout. Seems like he's got his s*** together and is ready to play.

AI in Memphis all over again
Anyone think Gilbert would have done well in Minnesota?
Veteran who can set up and wait for a shot... We need that.
Exactly how are we supposed to properly understand shitting in a teammate's sneakers?
yeah.. and all of the other 'pranks':
"He really is the Boy Wonder because you never know what he's going to do next," Chris Mills said. "He can be destructive and kick holes in the wall and then two seconds later is on the bus laughing up a storm. I don't know if it's a split personality or what."..
(..) Mills goes with Arenas' habit of ripping up cards for no reason when the guys are playing on the team plane. Antawn Jamison chooses Arenas' recent prank in Chicago, where he threw all the towels in the shower so that rookies Mike Dunleavy and Jiri Welsch had none to dry off. Then he started a snowball fight on the team bus.
"He's definitely 21 going on 12," Mills said. "His mind hasn't caught up to the number on his birth certificate."

This is a team and coach who have turned Zach Randolph and Tony Allen into model citizens and the faces of the franchise. I'm not worried.

unfortunately it didn't workout on AI :oldlol:
Of course they have to pick one, even if you sign both only one of the two is going to get major PT. Sessions is a good young player with potential while Arenas is a washed-up nut that never knew how to play pg anyway.
...have you seen the Lakers bench? They cannot get worse.

I love the move, love it. OJ Mayo's game/skillset/talent at his peak when it is all said and done numbers wise is somewhere between Prime Chauncey Billups 20/3/5 and Prime Gilbert Arenas 29/4/5. Basically will be the best combo guard in the NBA , that can play both the PG and SG position.
He can learn so much from Arenas, the player of whom I have compared OJ to skillset wise, although OJ is more Billups then Arenas.
Exciting to see OJ trying to tap into the brilliant offense mind of Arenas.
Signing is official. If he gets his physical done in time he could possibly play tonight, if not then against Portland on Thursday will be his first game.

Gilbert Arenas officially signed by Grizzlies for one year minimum deal...
Not a bad pick up or risk for just $300,000.
Grizzlies officially added him this past hour:

Nah, we don't need to rush this. We are bringing Zach back into the starting lineup. Hopefully Arenas gets a few practices under his belt, before we even think about giving him playing time. Hollins is a smart man, he won't rush it.
