He posts under the handle D-Fense now, the guy with the Arnold avvy.

this site is even better when sober. deucewallaces is a catastrophe
Agreed it's not ideal for "leading man" roles but tbh, traditional Hollywood is becoming nothing but Superhero movies over and over. A James Bond flick here and there.
That shit's not real acting anyway. They don't cast those actors for their ability, it's just because they fit a look template.
There are still pletny of ways to get on film independently, and of course internet etc. I'm working on some self production things but it takes time to get them set up.
Obviously tho I don't regret having gone out there. Still a worthwhile experience to do that whole thing throughout my 20s. Tons of stories and memories gained. What else am I gonna do, twiddle my thumbs in a basement in Akron, Ohio for my whole 20s? :oldlol:
But yeah, it's been time to move on from the idea of going out there and being a big screen star. I've already moved on from that, so unfortunately for you, you aren't breaking any heartbreaking news to me. If these were juicy, challenging roles I was losing out on that'd be one thing. But I honestly don't care to be the next Batman. I never watched that shit growing up, and I'm disappointed such simple, redundant concepts and characters are what has the drooling public on the end of a string right now. But hey, so it goes.
edit: fuck, ignore that shit, i forgot i retired
The Bat is awesome STFU.

I dont have a prob with batman/comic movies in and of themselves but theyre just coming at way too fast a clip and at the expense of other potential film endeavors. The fact that the public seems satisfied with that is disappointing.
Well, let's at least keep some perspective here.

But the latest Batman movies weren't released that fast. One was I think in 2006, 2008 and 2012. Before that the latest movie was in 1997. So in all for a movie franchise that tends to leaves a lot of money the release date the average wait between movies is about 2 to 3 years. For the movie released next year the wait for a batman movie is 4 years after the last one. Is that really such a short time?

Oh well Im not talkin bout just batman in particular. I mean all those kinda flicks, batman, spiderman, superman, ironman, captain america, hulk, antman, wolverine, gambit, transformers. I know they each have their own elements but in many ways theyre still formulated and redundant, and they come at the expense of perhaps more original and experimental film ventures that studios used to be more inclined to take some risks with. Its a shame, but ofc with the advent of downloading theyre just not willing to put money into anything thats not proven to still be stable at the box office and has cross-marketing/merchandising potential.

Well it is the superhero era. It was the same thing for the SciFi and the Cowboy era.
Honestly I am a big fan of superheroes so I will take what I can when it comes to movies. I would like for lesser good known comics to come to live instead of Spiderman Remakes :lol

Yeah, Im not even tryin to hate, i just didnt really grow up on that stuff so for me its kind of annoying to see how heavily the industry is relying on it right now. But, oh well.
Yeah, Im not even tryin to hate
