Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
Warriors lost 8 games with Curry this season
Already had lost 2 without him in the playoffs, and were well on their way to a third without him
but yeah he doesn't have the most impact :oldlol: :oldlol:
Stay mad bitches, he just led his team to the GOAT record, had the GOAT regular season and he didn't need to jump teams and hand select his all star supporting cast to do so
Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
Curry Wins Above Replacement: 26.5
Bron Wins Above Replacement: 20.5

Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
You put someone like LeBron the 76ers, and they would most definitely have more of an impact than the 76ers with Curry on them. Curry is nice little gimmick player. He can get you over the hump. But Lebron is the hump. LeBron is the system. LeBron is the franchise. Warriors would win close to 60 game without Curry, and would be right in the mix to win the west. Cavs wouldn't even qualify for the playoffs in the East.
Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
Can sense posters legit getting angry at the facts I have laid out for them. Even just talking about LeBron impacts how people feel. Simply amazing.
What year you referring to about Miami?
Well...none of them won 73 games, so....all of them lol
Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
He 100% deserves the award but he's not the most valuable and important player to their team if that makes any sense. I think they should change it to Most Outstanding Player.
The Warriors have guys that can help make up for what he brings on offense and on defense they don't get any worse if you take him away.
They would never reach the ridiculous peak they're at right now but their dropoff without him wouldn't be as bad compared to some of the other teams without their best player. The Curry-less Warriors would probably still be better than all but 3 teams in the league.

The only one who inspires this is LeBron James.

You didn't post any facts tho.
All you said was could and would which implies it hasn't happened so it can't be considered a fact. Logic bro. Use it for once if you're gonna act like you're right (even though you're not).

None of those Miami team had more talent than GS. Or went through a postseason where they played an injured team in every round.
Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
You also got to remember that part of being an MVP is having a defensive impact. Curry is one of the worst defenders in the NBA

Lol but their best player had a superior impact right? Shouldn't that make up for it?
Also...in 2013 the Heat faced: The garbage Milwaukee Bucks (Losing record), the injured Bulls (ACL Derrick Rose/Spinal Tap Deng), and the Pacers (missing Danny Granger, unproven Paul George) and topped it off by almost losing to the Spurs with a hamstrung Tony Parker...
Your argument is almost as bad as your memory broski
Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
And LeBron still has more impact on team basketball and wins than anyone in the history of the NBA. Curry is a beast, great player. But take him off the Warriors and they're still in the WCF, with a chance for the Finals. Hell, he was their 3rd option in the Finals last year and they still won the series  Take LeBron off this current Cavs team and they are maybe the 10th seed. Take LeBron off the Cavs last year and they're in the running to pick Towns. Unanimous MVP tho? Nah. He gets these votes because 1. People were tired of voting for LeBron. 2. The average sports fan can relate to him because of his girlish frame and ugly spouse. He inspires them they can be like him one day if they work on their trick shots, and join a team of multiple hall of fame level talents. I get it. But Curry just doesn't have that impact of The King.
didn't you laugh at people who made the same argument for rose in 2011?
Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
Impact has always been the main criteria for MVP voting.
Why do you think Nash has two of them even though there were players who had more individual skills?
Like Nash, Curry has transcended the sport, and his contribution to the game will spread far beyond a momentary period of personal triumph.
Re: Impact Should Be Most Important Aspect When Handing out MVP
Physical conference. He doesn't have the opportunity to play a bunch of finesse-pseudo Euro-ball teams most nights. Not to mention Curry plays with wayyyyyy more talent.
Physical conference?
